I thought it was quite funny. I've watched lots of the brit version on Foxtel and thought they did a pretty good job of the first ep! ETA- No way would I trust my DH to plan my wedding!! This post has been edited by Allie_D: 22/08/2012, 11:02 AM |

If someone paid for our wedding, and mind you, 25K is much more than we actually spent, yes.
My DH has a fine taste, which sometimes makes life expensive |

ETA - I've worked with this nasty, unpleasant man, badly dressed, a bit ugly....
Apparently he organised his whole wedding himself, and it looked very tasteful and beautiful. Why his wife married him, that's another matter.... ETA: My wondering not about his looks, but because he was a big big douche. Still, the lack of personal style was important to mention in relation to organising a gorgeous wedding!! I watched it online and didn't mind it. The bride seemed to love herself a bit and the guy was a bit of a lazy so and so, but it was fun watching.
I'd like to know what's to stop a bride beforehand saying to the hubby "ok, I want a dress like this, a reception like this" etc and him organising it?? |

Yes we were wondering this ourselves, but we figured the "do not talk about it" clause would be in the contract they signed. I thought the bride was a bit full of herself, but her DH did try to have everything perfect for her, you could see him absolutely terrified that she was going have a dummy spit about it all. He did think things through and picked a nice dress for her and the bridesmaids AND he looked nicely dressed too. The promo for nexts weeks put me off though. The groom seemed like a prat (but then there is the editing, so who's to know for sure) |

My husband DID arrange the whole wedding and for $15K (I was overseas). Considering he's generally clueless he did a good job.
