Thanks everyone for your replies.
In regards to other colours in the room well we are starting from scratch in this room (sorry, I shoudl have also mentioned we are just finishing off builidng our house) so thus far we have no other vases or anything that we need to co-ordinate with which is kind of handy when picking colours.
Our current house we have used red as the feature colour but I would like to change that and love the idea of blue as so many of you suggested. I dont think I'm into autumn colours for some reason. the red we currently have is quite bright.
This room will also be used predominantly by the children so a bright colour like blue would be fabulous.
We will have a dark timber side table and I am looking at a tripod table lamp with white shade.
I'd like to keep the majority of the room neutral with just a splash of colour. The flooring is a mocha coloured carpet.
Now next question - where does everyone suggest to go (preferably online) to buy cushions???

I don't know of any online places, but i love the combination of brown/white/beige/blue/gold. So some lovely bright blue cushions (peacock/teal/turquoise as others have mentioned) with gold sequins/beads on them. Looks smashing!

Well now I've done some googling, and couldn't find anything like I mentioned but there are some nice ones! I suggest you find a couple of "feature" kind of ones you like, then get some that complement and tie it all in.

Oooh, look what I found! http://shop.thehousequeen.com.au/store/cus...jade-rapee.html

And this! http://shop.thehousequeen.com.au/store/cus...hite-rapee.html

Ooh this one is nice, if you get a few other neutrals along with ones to bring out the blue/teals: http://shop.thehousequeen.com.au/store/cus...ulti-rapee.html

I love the textures here: http://shop.thehousequeen.com.au/store/cus...sian-rapee.html

This one is great with the chocolate and blue: http://shop.thehousequeen.com.au/store/cus...oise-rapee.html

Ok, now I need to stop because I've given you too many to look at (but this site is ace, there are heaps more that would work!!!) and now I'm starting to covet cushions! Make sure you show us the end result! original.gif

I'm probably going to buy my cushions from Etsy, as the fabric choices are great and they are so much cheaper than buying from retailers.

Great thread!! We have a chocolate lounge and i have no idea what colour to put with them so this has given me some ideas. Our tiles are teracotta, our rug & curtains are dark brown (but will change them in the future) so the room is brown overlaod atm. I have been thinking green but i love the teal colour also. I am crap at matching colours so thanks for the ideas original.gif

Love the etsy suggestion also so will have a look there when i have some money lol

Noi'mnot you are fantastic! I really loved the cushions you picked out (there were 2 that really stood out to me as being "me") and I really like the idea of blue and taupe.
Thanks so much for taking the time to find them for me original.gif
