That's the weakness of The Voice -- the auditions are based on "The Voice," but the rest of the show is based on "The Whole Package" (including marketability).

Even though Casey didn't get through I think she's on a winner if Joel'wants to go in the studio with her.
I agreed with most choices, some were disappointing but looking forward to the live rounds. |

There's a story just hit the media (assuming it's real) that has the show's host saying that Peta (long red hair, lost to Viktoria) was rude to everyone on the show, would not take direction from anyone and that her attitude "stinks".
Now why would you mess up a big chance like that with diva antics? |

Theirs was one battle I missed so I just watched it online. I wouldn't be surprised, even her family looked full of attitude and not at all graceful in defeat.
However...after watching it, I do believe she is the better vocalist. She could be something special, even with attitude! She just needs to find the right songs and avenues. Plenty of people with huge egos succeed, just not on a show where they are supposed to be mentored to that success. Re Casey and Emma, I like Casey but thought Emma's performance last night was better. |

I thought that "At Last" suited Emma's voice right down to the ground, but not at all for Casey's voice.
Emma has just the right smokey tone for the song, Casey's voice is like a bell - crystal clear and sweet. I prefer Casey's voice but unfortunately, just not suited to that song. |

I loved Casey in her audition. The song she chose there suited her perfectly, but I think At Last was not a good choice for her. I wonder if it's deliberate song choice to eliminate the 'inconvenient' ones for the show. After the duo went, I said to DH 'There goes the inconventient duo', and when Casey went I said 'There goes the inconvenient fat girl' |

I think I saw something on Today Tonight where the Peta was claiming she didn't get any one on one time with Delta and claiming that the other girl was the favourite right from the outset. |

Yes the host was responding to the Today Tonight story that the girl Peta did. I think she is just trying to extend her few minutes of fame. |

LOL, this is exactly what i was thinking, i am finding Seal more and more slimey. A girlfriend and I were saying the exact same thing the other day. I thought he was hot and sexy but now I just think it's slimey. I think he made the right choice with Emma-Louise though - she was FAR better than the other chick. |
