Hi biggrin.gif

I'm new to EB and this is my first post

Just wondering if anyone can help me in deciding which hospital to have my baby.

I have narrowed it down to either Cabrini or Waverley

Any comments or experiences would be greatly appreciated

Thanks original.gif

I am booked into cabrini this month and have found their pre care to be great. I am a nervous first time mum and frequently ring deliveries without a problem, I have been in for monitoring twice. I found their birth classes good and the rooms look lovely. I am looking forward to giving birth there.

I have had 2 children at Cabrini and was perfectly happy there. Friends have been at Waverley and were equally happy - have you already chosen your doctor?

For us, it came down to which hospital was closest...Cabrini books out very quickly too, how many weeks are you?

Good luck, I think you will be fine with either.

ETA.. Just saw that you are due in August. I think you'd better look into which hospital has room for you. I was booked in at Cabrini at 5 weeks and told if I'd waited another week or 2 I would have missed out. May not be the case now, but just thought I'd mention it.

This is actually my second baby and I did have my first baby at Cabrini and the care was fantastic!

I'm already booked in at Cabrini but thinking of changing over to Waverley as my OB delivers at both and Waverley is that little bit closer to home. Easier for my hubby to bring my 2yo son up to visit ( very anxious about leaving him for those few days sad.gif )
I just did a tour of Waverley and everything looks very nice but the only thing that puts me off is they don't have 24hr emergency staff so if you need a emergency c/s they have to call staff in. same goes for the anaesthetist.

Thanks for your replies original.gif
