We quite regularly have bad reception since digital TV. We shouldn't as we have top of the range new Digital aeriel (house only 4 yrs old) and our aspect means that we are directly in the line from teh major towers in the area.
Mostly, it's aBC / SBS that completely goes off air, anywhere form 10 minutes to hours....but the "pixels" going wacko is more likely and regular on the commercial networks.

We knew it was coming once the analog was turned off, as it's always happened, so we watched the analog channels till it shut down. Now we have no choice sad.gif

Like SO many other "Improvements" of the modern age....it's debateable for teh average person if there are any benefits at all? All those silly digital channels with reruns of 40 yr old shows...don't care adn never watch themv rolleyes.gif

If I wanted to watch reruns of MASH, I'd just buy the boxset!

We always have problems, we never get ch10 digital, and abc comes and goes when it pleases.

Think we need a new antenna for digital but it's not urgent.

We are also in Sydney.

I can't tell you how much I agree with this comment. The other day I was flicking through all the digital channels thinking how it feels like I am in the USA watching absolute rubbish on one channel after another.

The only digital channels we are interested in are the new ABC ones - ABC24 for the news and ABC22 for the kids.

And we have the MASH box set!

Anyway, I have phoned an antenna service who will come after Easter.

In one way it is great as we hardly ever have the TV on at the moment, so we are doing lots of other things at home and out and about original.gif

I'm glad to see that we're not the only ones that have had problems since we've had Digital.

Everything has been fixed, replaced or changed and we still have crackly reception, still pictures that don't change for five minutes or so (when you you eventually get annoyed and turn the television off and back on). Most channels we can no longer get.

It's exactly like what our reception was like back in 1974 when we first moved here (I was very young then tongue.gif )

Digital television, who needs it rant.gif

I have that issue with channel 10 mostly. If it not clear, sunny and NOT windy, cloudy or raining I get a picture. If the weather isn't 'perfect', I get nothing.

And I can't do anything about it, I rent in a unit block :-(

I had problems iwth getting some channels (after previously getting them), and I use an indoor arial...

I retuned the TV, and it fixed the problems.
