Lucky thing - still haven't been to Tangalooma as being a sea sick sailor I gather from friends that crossing from Brisbane to Tangalooma is often hellish - some of my non-seasick friends say it was the most sick they have ever been on a boat blink.gif it seems to be a rough stretch - might need to fly me there one time by helicopter wink.gif Have fun Georgie - hope that rain stays away - hope everyone catches up with our new thread- my update post was the last post on the old thread!

hello all. Thanx for your huge post Lynn. Great to read what has been happening. You've done so well to keep the BF/bottle combination going for so long, well done.
I'll take you up on the offer of the eyes in the back of my head please. DD2 is getting stronger every day it seems. She isn't wobbling as much now when she pulls herself up to standing and can stay up for a while now. She is just starting the moving around on the furniture thing but that is where she comes a cropper and falls over as her feet aren't co-ordinated and most of the time she will stand on her own foot. LOL It's all been a bit much as she is younger than DD1 was at doing all this, DD2 was 7 month last week so her body isn't really ready for her to do all this without injury the poor kid. She can sit and crawl and pull herself up, at this rate she'll be walking soon, which scares the crap out of me!
She says dadda but not to DH just randomly.
DD1 is o.k, she got some books that you can draw on and rub off for her birthday that teach them letters and numbers which she loves. Some phonics cards with three letter words and a leap frog tag reader. She seems very interested in learning so hoping this trend continues when she reaches school age.

Hi again

A bit of an electric storm as we sit in the river!!! We picked up our car today which was a mark of the ending of our trip sad.gif
Though still living on the boat will extend out holiday mode!!!

Lynn, I see now about your mum coming here now! Your brother was with you for an entire month? Awesome, you must get on!!!
I will get on Facebook when we are in the marina and look at your photos - the battery goes fast when we are in the anchor
LOL - so an invite to come on our smaller boat for a sticky around the canals is off the cards then? happy.gif
It is funny when you get to the last breastfeed - kind of like saying goodbye in a way. Look on the brightside - your DH will get the boobs all to himself again!

NYE - sounds like Zoe will have no trouble going into school! I need to get some phonetic cards for Ben! ATM he is mad about his cars and not much else

Hi to everyone - COME BACK!!!

LOL ... uummm who's bright side are we looking on. Cause from my point of view it's not Lynns! LOL months of being pregnant and having them sore, then months of bf'ing and them still being sore. To finally have them go back to normal to then hand them over to the DH who will also make them sore again. not my idea of brightside!! :-)

Speaking of which Georgie ... here's some TMI thoughts I've had about you!!! Being on a samll boat with the kids for me would be the perfect excuse to not have to service the husband for fear of waking them! LOL I have not said anything all this time but can't keep my trap shut any longer ... how did that work for you??? :-) (feel free to tell me to bugger off!! )

EXACTLY NYE - I have had a "Get out of Jail Free" pass for 7 months!!!! wink.gif
We sleep separately on the boat anyway because we both get up through the night and only one side to get out of. At the start the kids were climbing into bed with us. Just became habit to sleep apart and we both sleep well on the boat now. I am tipping that I may have to make up for lost time when we get into the house!!!

hahaha Georgie - you make me laugh so hard!!!!! Yeah boobs back to myself - now i'm stuck with a heap of bras that don't fit - was wearing a 16c when fell pg then a 16 C/D while pg then down to 12D/14D now (bootcamp classes!)But that might change again once milk fully dries up. Can't wait to get into my wired bra's but now none fit - i've been holding on to some pretty ones for ages in the hope that one day i'll be a 14B again but seems the C/D's might be here to stay - wonder why and how!? pregnancy does strange things!

Poor DH hasn't been getting much ahem attention since before my family arrived - he is trying every tactic in the book lately but i've just lost my interest huh.gif think its a combo of exhaustion/ early starts (Kaelan likes 5.10am this week again), could be hormonal - think just stopped BF plus have Mirena IUD in to prevent any more babies for now. I don't know where some women get their energy from - its the furthest thing from my mind - I see its not just me then thank goodness!!!!! biggrin.gif

Boat round canals? That won't make me sick - its just big rolling sea's! I could be persuaded! Want to see the boat you have been living on all this time!

NYE - glad it was you to ask Georgie the TMI question!!!!!!!! Gee do you know I completely forgot that your DD is 2 months younger than mr K! When I saw that photo of her standing it sort of erased my memory of who had our babies 1st! Yes that is very young to be at that stage - mr k is still being a floor potato LOL Times like when I read your tales I feel glad though! They all do it in their own time and I know he is strong in the legs - he is just choosing not to push himself to roll around and crawl - he has done it and can do it (rolling I mean) but dosen't very often even though he gets tonnes of floor time each day. Crawling he is kciking his legs and rotating 180o but no real movement forward or anything - he hasn't heaved that big lump of a body on to his knees yet - Finn was always a commando crawler so maybe mr k will be the same!

This week so far i've had playgroup xmas party, shopping for sandals for DS1 today, friends visiting on their honeymoon from Scotland tomorrow and then a catch up with my pg friend thurs plus my bootcamp classes tue and thurs on top of all that - i'm exhausted!
Just moved mr k out of those wrap me up wraps/ bags into grobags for sleep - he seems to be sleeping better and settling better with the increased movement and being able to roll on his side to sleep. the first night he found it hard going from a swaddle bag+ tight blankets to a loose fitting bag and no blankets to restrict his movement. Its been too hot here for blankets now and he didn't like sleeping without them - the wrap me up's were just great but at 9 months old he was more than ready for dropping the swaddle bags - now I can control his body temperature better so its great. No need to buy any as have all the tog's/ sizes from DS1.
Ds1 is fully TT'd now - he finally started doing no 2's consistently while my mum was here - he has been great with 1's for ages now but 2's were a nightmare and constantly getting done in his sleep nappy - one day he just decided himself after i'd tried every trick in the book! its a relief - guess I should start encouraging sleep training soon - NYE/ Georgie/ Janine - where is Zoe, Ben and Cooper with that?

hi all, quick one as have to get organised. Zoe has been fine during the day. took the nappies away completely during the day about a week before her birthday. First day she had two wee's in undies, next day she had a tiny one as was running to the loo holding herself. since then she has been fine. 4 days later her night nappies were dry.
We just put her in a pull up at night now. Most mornings it's dry, every couple of days there will be one wee in it. She has got up during the night a couple of times to use the loo. I make her go to the loo the moment she wakes up but her dad is slack so on the weekends they got into the spare room to lay down and that's when she'll wee in the pull up as he doesn't make her go.
I'm just going to let her do her own thing for now, not interested in getting her out of bed in in the middle of the night to make her go like other friends did when night tt their kids. She will work it out for herself eventually. Like the day tt, she first used the potty when she was about 22 months old and have just talked to her about the toilet and she has used it on and off for the year then when she was using the loo all the time I took the nappies away and it was all done in 2 days. Can't be bothered stressing about putting them on the loo all day long or any of the other methods out there, just left it up to her.
