my son age 4 has been shaking his head since a toddler.sometimes quite violently from side to side. he often does it when he goes to bed, when he doesn't get his way, or he is just plain bored. he also makes ahh noises whilst doing this. I often mention this to my gp and they don't see a problem. he has delayed development in a lot of areas such as sitting , crawling and walking ,speech and toileting. my gut feeling is telling me something is no quite right. tia

Go to a different doctor and ask them to help you. Ask them to get you a referral to a paediatrician (a doctor especially for children).
