Has anyone had their shower resealed recently? If so who did you use and were you happy with the service and price?

I'm looking at getting my shower done and thought i would see if there were any recommendations before I ring around.

Thanks!

We had the shower in our previous house done about 2 years ago- we sold it this time last year, so I don't know what it's like now, but was fine when we sold it. It had caused the floorboards in the coridor to warp, and that settled down, so it must have worked okay.

We used Mega Seal (I think that's their name.. it's the one with the frog in their advertising). It has a 10 or 15 year warranty. I don't know how their prices compare to anywhere else, as they were the only quote I had done. In hindsight, it was probably a bit pushy of the saleslady to book it all in when she came to do the quote, but I just wanted it fixed, and I didn't really care.

I had a plumber come and look at the shower leak in the beginning, as we weren't sure if it was a seal problem or a pipe problem.. he diagnosed a seal problem, and said to stay away from one of the companies that does that sort of work, but I can't remember which one it was... (at the time I was just hoping it wasn't mega seal!).

Good luck!

I did exactly as Shadowess did. Including getting the plumber to check first to make sure it really was the seal and not the pipes.

It was about $750 and included regrouting.
