6am breastfeed, then two pieces of toast, a banana (he feeds himself this) and a mandarin or maybe some baby cereal.
Midmorning snack of water and rice crackers Lunch a bowl of food we make him - often lentils rice and veggies, then pureed apple and yoghurt. Another breastfeed. Afternoon tea a piece of cheese, plain biscuits, sometimes a pear Dinner the same as lunch. We try veggies as finger food but he's starting to realise he doesn't like broccoli and beans and spits them out He is having a dreamfeed bottle of formula at 10pm but I know I need to cut this out. |

Reading all of these posts makes me feel like I am starving my child. He eats barely nothing. His total intake in a day might be 1/12th of an orange and a Rafferty's Garden packet and one bite of bread. That's it folks. Anyone else in this camp? He breastfeeds heaps still, thankfully.

This is me too, however DD wasn't really interested in solids until she was almost 8 months old. I'm guessing some of these babies started much earlier which is why they've progressed to so much finger food and different varieties of food. |

My DD2 is now almost 12 mths and my mum jokes that she easily eats as much as her. She comfortably eats normal food & I have to cater for her - I.e she eats too much to just 'share' my lunch. My DD1 literally wasn't interested in food until 15mths, she eats much less than her sister (she is now 2.5yrs), and is extremely fussy. I don't think DD1 is normal, but I think there's a huge range. I would say I'd expect some puree and some finger food by 12mths, but not necessarily 3 meals and snacks.

Same here, ds still breastfeeds all day and night and is not really very interested in solids, he will munch on some toast and have a pouch of something each day, sometimes he flat out refuses, clamps his mouth shut and turns his head. He is thriving though and really chubby so I am not worried, we didn't start solids til 8 months so he's a bit behind babies that started at 4-6 months but we will get there! |

My DS is 9.5 months and not a big eater. Some rare days he'll eat heaps other days he eats barely anything.
Usually for breakfast he'll eat half a piece of toast, lunch might be half a sandwich and dinner is whatever we eat. I try t give him some puréed fruit and finger foods but he doesn't want it. He only has about 4 breast feeds a day. |
