Hey everyone ~ yes it sure has been quiet. Brody is well over 5 months now close to 6 months. Can't believe it!
His reflux has almost gone - yay! He is back on normal formula & only has losec @ night. He loves standing up in his activity centre. Loves rolling over & he is getting up on his knees ready to crawl. He can't sit up yet though. Loves his solids with 3 meals a day & 5 bottles most of the time. He is the length (68cms) that my other son was @ 8 months old & weighs just under 8kgs.

He sleeps most nights from 6.30pm until 5am/6am, I feed him,then usually back to bed for 1 or 2 hours.
Life is sooo much better & it didn't feel like we would ever be at this point, after such a rough start!!!
Day sleeps are pretty good with usually 2 x 1.5 hours & 1 x 45 min late arvo nap.
It is so good to have some kind of routine to our days!

Lots of dribble here too & red cheeks, I keep checking for teeth but none have come through.

Anyway ladies just wanted to say a quick hi & hope you are all well & enjoying your babies!

Gosh I just checked here after a while and saw the posts. Glad to see the March group isn't completely dead- I was certain everyone had run off to Facebook!

Everything with me sounds similar to what you guy have happening, except for the sleeping! Sidney--I am so glad to hear about sleeping through the night, I hope it happens to me soon. I am totally sick of getting only 40 mins before I have to resettle- after 5 plus months of maximum an hours sleep at a time, its all catching up with me!

Still yet to starts solids as DS has been sick with a cold and I didn't want to overload him.

Was curious though- does anyone make their own baby food? If so, do you roast the veggies before making them into a puree or not? I heard roasting makes it tastier?

I heard restless times do come around the time the little ones could be about to do something important like a milestone-- teeth, crawling, sitting up so perhaps that why some of our babies are restless?!

Fingers crossed some teeth come soon for us all!!

Hi all,

Rohey - i hope you get some sleep soon. Sleep isn't great here either. We went through a patch of only one early morning 4am wakeup but now i can be up anywhere from 2 - 6 times a night! I was getting good 6-7 hour stretches but now lucky to get a 3 hour stretch. I hope we both get some good sleep soon. On the food front - i do my own food but don't bother to roast. I have found with chelsea so far and i've only started her this past week that she actually prefers to suck on big pieces of food rather than puree. If she is watching what i'm eating and its suitable for her i just give her some eg my toast in the morning or my toasted muffin i had for lunch or my mashed potato etc Good luck with it all.


sidney - glad things are going well on the reflux front. Lucky you on the sleep front i hope he keeps it up. And sounds like he is eating like a champion - good work.


Still no teeth here yet but lots of teething going on - hurry up teeth!

have a 7 month old little boy who is the joy of my life, he is sitting up and rolling from back to front and back again, eating heaps and breast feeding 6 times a day


My name is cindy and i have 2 children, a soon to be 8 year old girl who i homeschool and my 7 month old boy Jai, i have just got engaged and we live in victoria.

Kristy, live in Pakenham, so im not sure how far away from you that is? where are you getting married? not long to go now, are you going on a honeymoon?
We are also trying for another baby but its a hit and miss at the moment as i still have not got my periods back.

Ok hope to see more people in this group as it would be lovely to meet other mums with bubs the same age as Jai.
