Hi,
We have only moved to North Brisbane recently from Sydney. We are actively TTCing and am starting to look at birthing options and doing research. I would love to find a private hospital that is VBAC friendly or an obs anyone can recommend via PM that would be great too. It's really hard not really knowing the area and only knowing a handful of people here. I don't really mind a bit of travel (esp if the ob would do shared care with a GP) as the hospital in Sydney DS2 was born in was about a 50min drive. DS1 was born vaginally and I did fully dilate so I am hoping this will help my chances. Thanks! This post has been edited by torij: 25/07/2012, 11:48 AM |

Hi, welcome to Brisbane.
I moved from interstate to Bris just last year, so I was after heaps of birthing info too. http://www.havingababy.org.au/birthplace Found this great website - just choose the Brisbane hospital/s you are interested in (for Step 2) and then tick 'Choices and Options' (in step 3). Hit Enter, scroll down and wa-la. It should give you a rundown on the hospital's policies eg. VBAC success rates, whether you can discuss your birth plan and other stats etc. Best of luck |
