Hi there, sorry you had such a bad experience. For what it's worth, I had 3rd degree tears with my first, it healed up perfectly, and I didn't have a lot of pain at all. With my second, they performed an episiotomy as he was posterior and I tore the first time. I suffered 2nd degree tearing as well and can honestly say the tearing healed much faster and was much less painful than the episiotomy. I couldn't sit on a hard surface for 3 weeks without grimacing in pain. It's all healed now, except they didn't stitch me up enough where the tearing is, so I'm considering reconstructive surgery.

I would suggest seeing a gyno to see if there is anything they can do for the scarring, or perhaps a reconstruction could help?? Best of luck, hope you find something that makes you feel better. Not feeling good about that part yourself is the pits.
