I think the general rule used to be it should take a baby that age about 15 to 20 mins to finish the bottle so that's how you judge. If its taking to long get a bigger teat. If he's drinking it in that time stay the same.
The actual bottle size makes no difference except it hold a bigger amount of milk. So if he is looking for more after its finished go up a bottle size. |

Just put the slow flow teat into the bigger bottles - the teat size is the same.

I used pigeon Y cut teats on my life grow glass bottles. Thy are variable flow teat and only allow milk to come out if bubs is sucking.
