Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone has an iCandy pear and what your views of this stroller are. Looking at purchasing one. Thanks. |

From personal experience I would not recommend it at all.
It is horrible to steer. If you come to a standstill and need to get going again it is a battle. If you want to change direction it won't go the way you want it to. If you need to turn around - forget it - it won't go. All this struggling to get moving with the pram was so hard on my back with a toddler and baby in the pram. The bassinet attachment is tiny and DD2 grew out of it before she was even 3 months old so I had to use the big seat for her which doesn't fully recline and is not recommended for use before 6 months. The seats are small and DD1 who is 2 and small for her age anyway was already almost too big for it - it wouldn't have lasted us long. Whether you have it in single or double mode the storage basket under the seat is almost impossible to access. I contacted iCandy about my Pear because I thought that maybe it was a problem with just my pram but they told me that they are aware of the problems regarding it's maneuverability and suggested that I get an iCandy Peach instead. I only used it for 3 months before I sold it on eBay and replaced it with a BJCS which is so much easier to steer. The BJCS is much longer and I have to say I think the iCandy in fabric and frame is better quality than the BJCS but the Pear is just not worth the money.
