Hi Ladies,

I am very lucky to have found a local lady who is willing to help me and my partner have a baby by donating her eggs to us biggrin.gif
As we are just starting this process i was wondering if there was anyone out there who was also going thru this or just about to - it would be nice to have other ladies to share this process with.

Talk soon

Hi Scorpio,

I'm along for the ride also.
After 10 IVF/ICSI cycles (+ a couple of FETs) we're also going to give donor eggs a go - I get good egg numbers but dodgy embies.

I'm doing the international route - and have arranged an egg donor through an agency based in hawaii that my FS recommended.

We've chosen our donor, and I'm on BCP now to synchronise cycles. EC likely to be the start of May.

What stage are you at?? Very lucky to have found a local donor!

it would be great to share this with someone going through it also - have you told many people IRL?

Hi Spring08,

DH and i looked into the international Donor and were happy to go that way (we were interested in South Afirica) but i thought i would post an add here on essential baby first to see what the outcome would be..... one week later an angel anwsered my email.... We are only just starting things our first app is next week where the procedure will be explained to all of us.

We are so excited to be starting as my eggs and numbers were dodgy huh.gif its been a long road full of downs but i feel very positive about this.

We have told our parents and two close friends but as far as most people know we have stopped IVF - I found it to upsetting to have to tell everyone who knew that it hadnt worked each time - so this time we will keep quite until we get our BFP. Keep in contact I would love to share this journey with you.

Keep sniffing and well talk soon biggrin.gif

I have found an egg donor but am deciding whether to go down this route at all at the moment.
I think I may as I do not want to regret down the line that I did not try,

Hi Mks81,

The process changes depending on what state of Australia your in and whether you become a known donor or anynomous donor, should you be in WA i'm happy for you to PM me and i will explain the procedure to you but sorry i dont have any web site information, my advice would be there is a section in this thread that donor egg ladies communicate in log on and talk to them.

Take care
