Wow, Brown was the sanest of the lot. Can't help but think that Milne, Hanson-Young and Rhiannon will tear the party apart � la Natasha Stott Despoja and the Democrats.

So sorry to see him go. Such a caring and ethical man. Australia will be the poorer for him leaving parliament.

Nice, caring and ethical he may have been, but having the Greens with so much power has really screwed with my understanding of "democracy"....

Oh dear, I've read the articles and I'm actually crying now. He has done so many lovely and wonderful things that not many people really know about because he doesn't big note himself. He is really one of the nicest people and I'm incredibly sad to see him go, even though of course he had to retire one day.

I thought it was the independents that were running the country recently, not the greens? I'm another who is so shallow that her first thought was how smooth he looks for 67. Hope my husband holds up that well.
