Feeling a bit concerned at the moment as this evening around 5 hours ago I started feeling some mild cramps. Around 2.5 hours later I went to the toilet and there was slight pink when wiping, I gently swept a little and found more brown'ish spotting that seemed to have little globs in it (sorry if TMI). Having a very restless night trying to get to sleep as the cramping is still there every now and then but still mild. Although spotting seems a little less (nothing on my pad but a tiny amount when wiping).

Should I go see my GP tomorrow or just wait and see?

My history is:

* got my BFP last wed with a HCG of 15 (prev HPT were very very faint at 12dpo)
* a miscarriage many years ago at 7 weeks
* Leep surgery for CIN3 late October last year
* low AMH level of 4 in November last year
* went off the pill after all clear with Leep and began ttc, miracuously with the low amh conceived this month.
* Also had sex the night before... could that cause issues?

Anyone have any advice or own experiences to share? Not sure if this is possibly normal?

I am not a expert, but you sound very concerned, so i would go to see my GP, they can do a follow up test to see if your HCG is doubling etc. Good luck. SOmetimes spotting is normal in pregnancy, sometimes not. The only way to know is to go see someone who can point you in the right direction.

Hi lovely.. couldnt not respond as Im sure you are feeling very wound up and anxious..

Id prob go and see a GP and get a f/up BT done just to look at the HCG levels as PP mentioned... its too early for a scan yet to determine viability.. they might see a sac but no fetal pole as youre so early..

Ive had 3 mc.. all 3 were different.. and with my son, I bled on and off for the 1st trimester. So really, (and I know from experience this next bit sucks) but only time will tell.

Re the sexytime.. I did spot after sex as well. From my understanding though, sex doesnt cause issues, and is ok unless your GP/OB advises against it.

I had a chance to read both your replies quickly this morning before going to the doctor which helped alot to make me feel a little calmer, so much appreciated, thank you.

I woke up this morning, there was a little more red bleeding this morning and then back to brown and just spotting. I then did a HPT which came back negative which completely freaked me out - until I sat down and thought it through a bit more that only last wed the HCG was only 15 with BT so may not be very high yet anyway. And the faint HPT last week was done dipping stick in, whereas this morning was in-stream and about 4 time for the morning.

Just got back from the doctor now and she said my cervix is still closed and the spotting is minimal and might be completely normal. She believes it's a good sign I'm still urinating a lot and was a little nauseous (hopefully from preg and not just worry) and the cramping and spotting aren't any worse.

So I took another BT this morning to see if HCG is still there and higher than last week and another test thursday to see if okay. Hopefully get results late today.

I know 4.5 weeks is early and a high chance I could loose it so I'm realistic. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed.

Unfortunately the hcg result came back late today under 5 so no pregnancy anymore and this evening I am now bleeding alot worse. The silver lining is having conceived so quickly after being advised of a low AMH late last year, this alone gives me great hope for the future.
