Okay, my fault -- left the pump on the sofa and my 11-month-old pulled it off, and it hit the floor with a sickening crash, and now it's dead. sad.gif

It's still under warrantly (bought July 2011) but this isn't a defect.

Does anyone know if I can get it repaired? I'm in Townsville.

And if not, is the Ameda Purely Yours pretty much the same as the Ameda Purely Yours Ultra?

I am crushed, I love this pump and our bub had just started to sleep through on occasion with a giant bottle of EBM as a dreamfeed. sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif

If you can't get it fixed under warranty have a look on eBay. I bought mine second hand over 5 years ago and it is still going strong. Had to replace the hygiene kits but the pump is still going well

I got mine fixed about a year ago. They were pretty quick and not too expensive. I'm in Melb and not far from the service centre but I posted mine as I couldn't make the trip out there. Was about a week later that I got it back. Here is the place I rang http://www.ameda.com.au/contact-us.html

I dont think there's that much difference between the ultra & the purely yours - you get more stuff when you purchase it but from what I read the technology is not so huge a difference. My daughter smashed my pump again (after it had been repaired) so I decided to just buy another one and I just went with another purely yours instead of getting the ultra cause I couldn't find anything to suggest it was worth the price difference. But I also use it on maximum all the time cause I need to, so I figured I wouldn't get use out of the 32 different settings.

Thanks everyone. Mine was properly broken so don't think warranty will cover it. Bought a new Purely Yours as I wanted it ASAP. Have learned my lesson, it's being put away in a safe place when it's not in use. sad.gif
