Hi all,
Mrspotatohead could you please update this is my #1.
So I went to have a blood test yesterday and the nurse said something interesting, she said that the doctor wasn't testing if I am pregnant, that the doctor was sure I was pregnant and she was just testing antenatal?? She said unless the hcg levels are tested in the antenatal test now we weren't testing to see a positive?
Is this right? I am a little concerned because the doctor also puts me a week ahead of what I have worked out.....
Ugh all so confusing?

Just having a little rest, am madly packing to move, but I am already tired and ready for a nanna nap.

How is everyones ANZAC day going, I am kinda missing out on 2 Up today, but dont have the energy or inclination to be around a whole room of drunk people (I like to have a drink when I am not pregnant lol)

Its worth it tho, maybe I will go next year... original.gif

Have a great day everyone.

Yip – Good to hear your scan went well!

Smudgied – With my first pregnancy I wasn’t interested in food at all. I had a little nausea but that wasn’t the reason for it, I just didn’t want to eat. It’s a strange feeling huh! I actually lost about 3kg in 2 months (doctors all said it was nothing to worry about as I’d put it all back on later original.gif )

LegoLady – I totally understand that fear that it’s all just going to end. MC really messes with the enjoyment of being pregnant. This is now my 3rd time at this point of a pregnancy and there is a certain amount of frustration going through the really rough, exhausting, gross part but not getting the good bits at the end. You’ve had a healthy baby so you have statistics on your side. Head up and try to enjoy (I have to admit that I’m struggling with that part right now sick.gif )

MahnaMahna – I’m from Perth, southern suburbs, you? What hospital are you planning to go to?

Happy Lizard – My thoughts are with you, sending positive vibes hun. bbighug.gif

MrsDelagee- They often don’t test for HCG at the doctors appointments. With all of pregnancies the only time I’ve been tested for HCG was when I’ve vistied the maternity hospital for bleeding or pain (I went on Saturday as I was having bad pain and was worried about another mc). Some doctors do it but I havn’t actually met many people in real life who had HCG levels taken. The bloods at this stage are all for immunities, HIV and blood type to make sure you’re not rhesus (sp) negative. To be honest even if HCG levels are good it doesn’t always mean everything is going well. When I started beeding with my second pregnancy they took bloods at the hospital and they were all fine but it was a chemical (not trying to worry anyone) if you’re worried I suggest you POAS and watch it appear before the control… that’s how I get me kicks grin.gif

AFM – I didn’t mention this in my last post but I found out at my US that I have a septate uterus. Does anyone else in here have that? It’s pretty rare and is linked to recurrent MC so I’m just curious. It also increases my chance of a prem birth.
