Share your scan!

Thought it would be good to start a separate thread in our November group for our scans. Rather then doing a new post each time just update your original post with new scans so we can see your baby's growth.

5week scan. Measuring 5w0d, gestational sac only seen measuring 0.72cm.


7 week scan. Measuring 7w2d, baby measuring 1.12cm, heart beating 150bpm


8 week scan. Measuring 8w2d, baby measuring 1.8cm, heart beating 177bpm
If you look closely you can make out the head, arm stumps and left leg stump.


12 week scan Measuring 12w5d, cant remember the exact stats- I was in a trace watching the baby dance around.

Awesome !! My 7w1d scan had it measuring 0.66cm - that's why I am worried. Roll on Monday!!

Here is mine from exactly 7 weeks. Baby measured 1.4 cms with heart rate of 143 bpm.



Here is mine from 12 weeks 2 days (or they corrected it to 12 weeks 5 days, original due date). Baby measured 6.41cms with heart rate of 158 bpm.

I uploaded mine onto photobucket and resized it and cut the photo portion out (I didn't want everyone knowing ALL of my details, lol. Then just copied and pasted it into the text box.

Just a question - a lot of people seem to be having scans early and regularly on here. I'm 10 weeks and a scan has not even been suggested yet, I don't have my first appt at the hospital for another month but I do see my GP next week for blood pressure check etc. Are you ladies requesting the scans, is there another reason for having them done early? Sorry, newbie who knows nothing!! Thanks

Hi Lozzylots!

I had a scan at 9 weeks because there was no way of working out my dates without it, so it was purely a dating scan. My next scan is 12 weeks and that is the one to check nuchal thickness (a potential indicator for downs syndrome when combined with blood test results) The nuchal scan is optional as far as I understand, I am not in a high risk category but I am getting the scan to put my partner's mind at ease and to give us a chance to see the baby again! Some people have had more regular scans due to previous history to check everything is going smoothly. It is really an individual thing but there would be nothing wrong with requesting one, particularly as you are just about due for the 12 week one anyhow!

I had my dating scan today:)
Baby is spot on for dates.. LMP was 10/11th Feb 2012
9weeks 2 days, due 17th November.. heartbeat 167bpm and measuring 2.5cms
