Hi, DS is 10 months and I have started sitting him in the shopping trolley as he became extremely restless in his pram. He absolutely enjoyed the trolley seat and made the whole shopping so pleasant! But I didn't really want to get the trolley cover (due to cost and I know most people would get one for hygiene purpose) and I thought just wiping the handle bar might be adequate. Is there anyone else who actually don't use the trolley cover??

I never used one, total waste of money in my opinion!

We were in Europe for the first 9months of DD's life and i'd never seen or herd of trolley seat covers until I came to Aus.

I never have! I dont wipe the handle either. i probably should though.... but then I did find DS (8mths) sucking on Miss 3's shoe the other day so Im not really sure there's any point. Miss 3 sat in trolleys from about the same age as your DS, never covered, never wiped & never got sick from it. DS will be doing the same thing once he's sitting up enough to be able to sit in there comfortably

I pick and arrange all my own flowers, Jerry!
Never used one.

Have 2 x little girls (now aged nearly-7 and 4-and-a-half).

Don't know anyone IRL who used them.

I never saw the need to have them / use them. I would do if I had a child with allergies etc - but luckily our girls don't have allergies, so never bothered with the trolley cover.

What fresh hell is this?
I have never actually known anyone who does use them. I certainly didn't.

No cover and no wipes. I think it is healthy and normal for babies to be exposed to surface germs and bacteria. original.gif

I've got two DD's and have never used a trolley cover (seems like a waste of money to me).

Nor did I even bother to wipe down the handle laughing2.gif

I like cats, but I couldn't eat a whole one.
Two children and I have never used one. It's good for their immune systems to be exposed to germs. That and I'm really lazy.

Don't own one, never used one, don't wipe the handle bar, do try to discourage DS from sucking on it (usually unsuccessfully). Honestly, he picks up all sorts of random crap off the floor, shopping trolly's are the least of my worries!
