No df tonight and he woke up at 1, though I stalled him till 2 with the dummy. He did escape his wrap though which may have contributed.
Hopefully he will be back to 3am in a few days |

Sounds like last night worked reasonably well, hope it gets better again for you.
I think a dreamfeed is great for some babies and not necessary for others. We tried to introduce it twice as DD was slow to gain weight and would sleep from 6/7PM to 3/4AM between feeds. However both times we tried DD woke for an extra feed around 1/2AM, so it definitely didn't work for her or us. It appears that she doesn't like having her sleep disturbed and that continues now as she sleeps well once she settles for the evening (and she did catch up weightwise without this feed). Maybe you have a good night sleeper. |

I tried it several times around the 9-11 week mark as DD was going from her bottle at 6 until 2-3 am but if I woke for a dreamfeed at 10 ish she would then stir around 1:30. So we stopped again and I kept with the once a night feed but tried df again at 14 weeks with success. Since then she has a bottle at 6, goes down for night at 6:30, df at 10:30 and wakes between 6 and 7 in the morning.

Mum said that she discovered the dream-feed with my brother, her 3rd child. She said she couldn't understand why no-one had told her before! Then when she introduced it with my sister, it was a completely different story. She would fully wake up and think it was time to play and Mum would be up with her for a couple of hours. After a few nights, she gave it up.
