9.06.06 Happy Birthday Big Bum..

Posted by Beccah, 19/06/2006, 01:52 PM

Happy Birthday my Baby Girl. Wow, the BIG 3. I can't believe we're here already.

Three years ago your Daddy and I fell deeply, madly and head over heels in love with you and nothing has changed. In fact, our love just keeps getting stronger with every day. We are truly blessed to have you in our lives. You make us laugh, sometimes so hard our stomach's hurt. You make us cry (happy tears) over sweet and innocent things you do. When you tell us you love us, that just makes everything worthwhile.

You have come so far these past 6 months. You talk so very well, you can count to 20 and know most of your ABC's. You are beginning to tell stories from pictures in books. You make them up as you go along and it's so very wonderful to watch. You love to draw and paint and have mastered drawing faces and adding legs and arms. You can draw most shapes as well. And dance..Oh my goodness, nothing can stop you once the music has started. I've often caught you dancing to songs in the credit's of movies. You bop your head along to music in the shops or on ads and your most favourite CD at the moment is "Poppo's Music". You call it Poppo's DVO and it has to be on repeat in the car. If we try to sneak at putting the radio on…."No Mummy, I want to watch Poppo's DVO". He would be very proud of his Isabellybutton. In fact he is! We all are Princess.

We had a lovely day at The Kidz Klub in Penrith with Aunty Neece, Jess, Aunty Amy and Bibby. You played till you couldn't play anymore. Jumped on the jumping castle and had all your chippies and nuggets. Daddy bought home your all time favourite things to eat for dinner…A McHappy Meal (with a pink shake) and a pink donut with 3 pink candles. You have enjoyed playing with your Dora Laptop (for ages 3+) and have almost tackled all the puzzles. You're a clever clever girl. Daddy bought you a Barbie watch and you squealed with delight when you saw it. Everytime we ask the time…"It's half o'clock" Mummy."

Monday 12th June, we had a small get together with all our dear family and friends. Nanny was able to make it out of hospital for the day which made it extra special. Pink balloons, Pink streamers, a Pink Butterfly cake and lots of other pink accessories. So many presents…books, clothes, DVO's, Family Pass to Fairfield City Farm, scarves and gloves (for the cold mountain weather) dolls and money. We have bought a Barbie Doll, a new jumper and a day to the movies with your money. You were a little off at your party and kept wanting to sit inside with Mummy most of the day. At one point we were together in my room on the rocking chair and you fell fast asleep. I tried to stay there, just us two, for as long as I could. It was a very long day for you with lots of playing with the kids, so I think you were very worn out and daunted by all the attention. But it was a very special day and you have so many people out there who love you Bella. It amazes me how one little girl can give so many people so much joy and happiness in their lives. You are so unique and I do love you.

Well it's been a truly memorable three years. I love being your Mummy, there's no job in the world that could match the joy and fulfilment I get out of being your Mum. When you tell me out of the blue "I Luf you Mummy" it breaks my heart.

You have become a very independent little lady which sometimes hurts that my baby's not around anymore. No more dummies, going to the toilet by yourself, getting drinks from the fridge by yourself. You help with chores and are always sure to put those beautiful manners to work. You like to get involved when I'm cleaning. As long as I give you your own little chore, you are content. My little helper.

You are a miracle Isabella and always remember that there are a lot of people who love you. God Bless you this day, your birthday and for many many more years to come.

Mummy xxxxxxxxx

PS. This is a song I heard the other day on a new CD I bought. As soon a I heard it, I thought of you. This is every mother's wish for their babies..

"My Wish"

I hope that the days come easy and the moments pass slow,
And each road leads you where you want to go,
And if you're faced with a choice, and you have to choose,
I hope you choose the one that means the most to you.
And if one door opens to another door closed,
I hope you keep on walkin' till you find the window,
If it's cold outside, show the world the warmth of your smile,

But more than anything, more than anything,
My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to,
Your dreams stay big, and your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more than you can hold,
And while you're out there getting where you're getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too,
This, is my wish.

I hope you never look back, but ya never forget,
All the ones who love you, in the place you left,
I hope you always forgive, and you never regret,
And you help somebody every chance you get,
You find God's grace, in every mistake,
And you always give more than you take.

A Blewtifulul Mother's Day..

Posted by Beccah, 18/05/2006, 03:58 PM

Hello my little girl,

Oooh, you'll be 3 in just a matter of weeks. My goodness these past 3 years have flown. You keep telling me you're not a baby anymore, but a big girl, like Mummy. And, you certainly are. Toilet Trained (exc. nights), talking so well and so clearly. You are so affectionate and have no shame in telling people they have "blewtifulul" eyes or "blewtifulul" hair. Particularly when you first wake up you are very sooky and loving, you touch my face and look me square in the eyes and say "I luf you too Mummy". Oh I tell ya, this is what being a Mummy's all about. I love you so much and miss you when I'm at work or when you stay a night at Aunty Neece's and Roo Roo's. The love I feel for you grows so much more with every passing day. Never forget that bubba.

Your Daddy had 4 days off over the weekend and this was my very 1st Mother's Day with him home. It was a very special day. It began with Daddy driving to Aunty Neece's early Sunday morning to pick you up (you slept the night as we went to a Wedding the night before). I was greeted by you in bed with the widest smile and lots of presents…some bought, some made. We had a lovely breakfast together and I had a little stay in bed with the blinds open, looking out at our lovely view.

We then went to a Pub in Windsor where your Poppo played in his new band for the very first time. My goodness, they are good. We had a lovely lunch and caught up with lots of old friends. Poppo had a smile he could not wipe from his face the whole day. His life is about music and I think for him to be standing up there playing for the people he cares about the most and seeing the enjoyment on our faces was priceless. At one stage you had the whole Pub's attention. You stood yourself on top of a table directly in front of Poppo and danced your little heart out. I was crying with laughter and after every song you would applaud and start dancing again. Every in the pub's heart just melted I think. Oh, what a sweeety!

It was a big day with no afternoon sleep. You fell asleep in the car on the way home at 7pm and slept all the way through. Such a wonderful and memorable day.

Your dancing school has a mid-year concert in a few weeks and I think I've already sold about every seat with just friends and family coming to watch you alone. It's just a little concert, no costumes, just your dance uniform. I'm really looking forward to it. I love sticking my head in for 5 mins at the ed of each lesson. You and all your little friends in dancing have had enough by the last 5 minutes and tend to either kiss all the mirrors or dance your own way. So adorable.

I am currently organising a little party for your 3rd birthday. It's just a little get together at home on the 10th June. All the good party food, party pies, sausage rolls etc. I've got a picture of a cake I want to make and decorate. Daddy and I are off to Castle Hill next week to suss out a bangel for you from the jeweller that made our wedding rings. I don't think we'll get you much more because from what I gather, Nanny and Poppo are buying you the world….as usual.

Speaking of Nanny, she has been in hospital for 2 weeks (home last Monday) with a terrible re-lapse in her disease she's been diagnosed with. Lots of breathing trouble and feeling very lethargic. She's usually so active and independent and it really got to her that she couldn't even get out of without grabbing for the oxegyn mask. She's home but still not allowed to work just yet. Still has a long way to go and has lots of appointments with doctors and specialists over the coming weeks to get some answers. The only thing that got her through was YOU. She'd ring me and ask for her medicine "YOU". I would have to take you up to the hospital to make Nanny feel better. She always did feel like a different person after you'd left. You are good medicine and everyone should have an "Isabella" in their lives.

Well, little one, time's getting on. Time to get home for snuggles on the lounge before bed time. I luf you too! You're blewtifulul.

Love Mummy xxxx
PS. God watch over Nanny and Emma and her family. You're in our prayers xxxx

The Easter Bunny has left the building...

Posted by Beccah, 18/04/2006, 01:03 PM

Happy Easter Bella Rose!

The Easter Bunny must have thought you were an extra good girl this year…..so much chocolate, so many late nights because of the sugar! Eeek.

He left a lovely letter and a basket on your bedroom door advising you to follow the trail of easter eggs to find something very special. The trail led us to the backyard where under a tree we found a new pink bag for dancing, Hi5 DVD and Playshcool DVD (or your version being, D-V-O, combination of DVD and Video) and of course many more easter eggs. You were so excited and squealed with delight when you discovered the PINK bag. As long as it was PINK, you were happy. Daddy didn't have to start work until 11am on Sunday which gave us a lovely morning to have Hot Cross Buns for brekky and a little time to spend together on Easter morning.

You and I spent a lovely day with Nanny & Poppo. We went for a drive down the Mountains and ended up in Windsor for lunch at a lovely pub. It was a beautiful day weather wise and not too busy. You weren't interested in your chippies and nuggets, just the Easter Eggs. We then spent a lovely evening with Dave & Shen and the girls for dinner. Of course more eggs!

Daddy had Good Friday off which was really wonderful. We spent the day in Lower Portland water skiiing with lovely friends. You had a bit of an accident however right as we were packing up to leave at 4.30pm. You were jumping on the trampoline with all the kids. Your chin ended up hitting AJ on the head and your tooth went thought your upper lip…lots of blood…lots of crying from you and Mummy. But a few ice cubes to suck on and you were right as rain. You fell asleep in the car at 5pm and slept until 7am the next morning. It was a very BIG day, but truly lovely spending it with friends. You really enjoy the water, but wouldn't go near the boat.

As always you are a very precious little lady with a very big heart. What a beautiful age you are at where you can tell Mummy (without being prompted) that you love me. On Saturday I was cleaning the bathroom, you came in and asked "Mummy, what choo doing?." I'm cleaning the bathroom bubby girl. "I sit here and watch choo. OK!" Then you sat cross legged on the floor and babbled on, then got up, put your little arm around me and said "Mummy I luf you very much". Well talk about a lump in the throat. You know how to do it! My Mum is often telling me how you ask on a Thursday if you can go home to "Bella's Mummy's house" now to see "Bella's Mummy" and give her a big cuddle, cos I luf my mummy.

Well, not long to Mother's Day and we'll be off that day to watch Poppo play in his band for the first time. Everyone is really looking forward to it. They recorded a Demo Disc just recently and you ask me in the car if we can listen to Poppo. After each song you clap and cheer. It is going to be a beautiful day. I am really looking forward to it. I think the pub where they are playing will be full of just our family alone…don’t know where everyone else is going to sit…hehehe!

Alright my beauty, until next time…..I love you, always have and always will.

Love Mummy xxxoxxx

The Easter Bunny is comin' to Town!

Posted by Beccah, 11/04/2006, 10:29 AM

My Darling girl, it has been 4 long months since I have written in your diary. Dear o Dear. Where do I start?......

Christmas - What a day! The best Xmas EVER! We started off at Nanny's Xmas Eve for a lovely Seafood dinner. We drive around Leura afterwards to look at all the pretty Xmas lights, which you just adored. Home, into our new PJ's to look extra special for Santa and off to bed. I went off the Midnight Mass with Nanny, Poppo, Aunty Amy, Unchil Mitchell, Uncle Michael and Poppy Ross. It's been a few years since I have been to Midnight Mass and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's really the beginning of Xmas for me. Daddy stayed home to play Santa Claus. Apparently he had a bit of trouble with your bike, but when I got home in the wee hours of the morning, it was sitting under the Xmas Tree. All shiny and sparkly.

We made such a big deal the night before, that Santa was coming and that you must have a really good sleep and that perhaps in the morning there would be presents under the tree from him…..a few minutes before 6am (I'd been in bed for 2.5 hrs…AGH!) a little person bounds into our bedroom….and Xmas Day had finally begun. Being at the age you were (2.5yrs) made the day the most beautiful Xmas I can ever remember. This is what Xmas Day is all about….this is what being a Mummy is all about. It's about watching the face of your daughter beam when everything she had asked Santa for, was under our tree. A PINK bike and a PINK helmet. Well almost everything you'd asked him for. You were a little confused that there was no PINK scooter from Santa. Little did you know that Nanny and Poppo had actually bought you one. But when they arrived for Xmas lunch carrying in a PINK scooter, your reaction was priceless. You were also given a Doll's House, lots of new clothes, books, puzzles, money, a Disney Princess stove and a Shop. Since Xmas Day I have enjoyed having you make me cup's of tea's and baking me cookies. We go shopping and you always play shop assistant. "Atteshen, Atteshen, pwice check, aisle 4"….so cute!

Daddy spoilt Mummy with a new digital camera. It has a new permanent home in my handbag and so far I have captured a lot of special memories that I will cherish forever.

All in all, it was a very special day having spent it with everyone we love. We had a beautiful dinner, lots of laughter and lots of love! Boxing Day was spent mostly cleaning and resting. Daddy had a screw drive in his hand the whole day, putting together all your new toys. We've never gone through so many new batteries.

We then went on our first Family Holiday to the Beach. We spent a week on the Central Coast with Nanny, Poppo, Aunty Holly, Uncle Adam, Bibby, Aunty Amy, Unchil Mitchell and a few days with Uncle Michael. A lot of time was spent relaxing, swimming and playing in the sand. You collected a lot of shells to take home. It was truly a wonderful holiday! We have a lot of photo's and video footage to keep forever.

You came to major milestone in your life over the Xmas period little lady…..you were Toilet Trained. Of all the things I was most afraid of doing since you were born, starting solids and toilet training were the scariest ever and you took it on with "gusto". All in all it took us 3 weeks of running around the house and the yard with no nappy or underpants on. Every time you did your business in the toilet or potty you were so very very proud of yourself, and so you should have been!!! It was heartbreaking watching my baby turn into a little lady practically overnight. You are no so independent and it breaks my heart. But one thing you are still very dependent on is our cuddles. I can live with that the rest of my life. So toilet trained we are (during the day). We'll tackle nights a little later on. You are mostly waking us during the night if you need to go. Probably not quite ready yet for undies in bed.

You are at school now on Wednesday's as Daddy finally had his day's swapped to having Monday's and Tuesday's off. For the 1st time in 2 years, the 3 of us finally have 2 whole days off together. Aunty Neece takes you to school in the morning, picks you up in the afternoon. Bath's you and gives you dinner which is such a great help to us. We are very grateful for Aunty Neece!

My little superstar has also started Dancing. You are in a Tiny Tot's class at a school in Springwood on a Tuesday morning. Let me tell you…the first time I layed eye's on you in a leotard and jazz shoes just melted my heart. Of all the things I asked for in this world over the years, the most I wanted was a little girl who would dance just like I did when I was little…..and I got just what I asked for. What a sight for sore eye's you are!!!! You enjoy it so much and it has really made you come out of your shell…not that you were ever really shy. But you have a lot more confidence and make up dances on your own. You have started to also make up songs about anything and it's lovely to hear you sing in the car or in the trolley when we are shopping.

We were given some wonderful news too at the end of January….Aunty Holly is having another little bubba. Bibby will be a brother around the 2nd of October. We're all really looking forward to meeting the newest little member of our family. She had a few little scares in the first 10 weeks or so and looks like she may have Placenta Previa, but she's now well and the latest ultrasound pictures of the baby are beautiful. Get's me all clucky again!

Mummy and Daddy have been thinking seriously of adding to our little family. I am booked in to have a few moles removed in May, so we might get down to business around June. When I was pregnant with you, I had a lot of troubles with my moles growing and being very painful. So I made sure this time to have them removed before I fell again. I've been taking my folic acid in preparation and we've been saving our cookies too so I can hopefully have another year off next time round. Finger's crossed little one! Finger's crossed.

Our little house is coming along nicely. With Autumn just around the corner, the weather has been spectacular. All the leaves are turning Amber and the birds are out in their hundreds. We have become very good friends with our neighbours, Kylie and Travis. They have two cats (Tiger and Cleo) who you adore. I often find you out the front with Kylie and the cats. You hold conversations with adults like you were 20 or so yourself. Sometimes people forget you're only (nearly) 3.

Nanna Jude is coming up from Victoria in May to spend 2 nights with us. I am really looking forward to it. We've not seen her since Xmas 2004. We'll be able to show off our new house and give her a tour of the Mountains. I think you are going to enjoy sharing your room with her for 2 nights.

So it's been a long time since I've written and a lot has happened, but all in all, you are still the happiest, brightest and loving little lady. Your speech is impeccable. For a few months now we have been able to converse with you like we were talking to a 10 year old. Your have the most rich and wonderful imagination. At time's we have been to the beach in our loungeroom and swam with whales and collected an aray of shells. We have cuddled BIG bunny wabbits whilst eating breakfast or danced on stage in front of hundreds of people to songs from Singing in the Rain. You are truly amazing Bella. Every day you teach me something new, something enriching. You make everyone laugh, make their hearts melt and teach them what's important in life.

I really do love you, you make my whole body ache! Well, it's nearly time for the Easter Bunny to make his arrival. I'm looking forward to setting up an Egg hunt in our yard on Sunday morning.

We went to the Easter Show yesterday (first time for you and Daddy). It was a lovely day, not too busy and you got a Dora Showbag. You were so well behaved all day, not that you're ever naughty. You love riding on trains. You sang for everyone….just beautiful!

Well, I hope to stick with my promise that I will NEVER keep it this long again between entries. I feel like I have forgotten so much. But even if I haven't written here, it's stored and locked safe away in my heart. Grow strong little monkey, always remember there are so many people out there who love you…what more could you ask for in life?

Love from Bella's Mummy xxxxx

Santa Claus is comin' to town!

Posted by Beccah, 08/12/2005, 08:44 AM

NOTE TO SELF (and anyone who might read this)...I have another diary namely "Beccah1's Diary" but for some reason they are split. I can not join the two. This other diary has my TTC journey, my PG journey and the first 2.5 years of my little girl's life...ENJOY! http://members.essentialbaby.com.au/index....log&blogid=791&

~~~~~~~~
Hello again, my girl! Ooooo, just 17 sleeps until Santa arrives and this has by far, been the best Xmas in my whole life. Being 2 and 1/2, you are really beginning to understand Santa and the real meaning of Xmas. You are so excited and I love to see your reaction when you see or hear of Santa. We are getting in lots of practise on our Xmas Carols and you have memorised exactly what you want Santa to bring you this year...a Bike, a Helmet and a Scooter. When you recently had your Santa photo's taken that's precisely what you asked him for ever so politely!
Daddy and I enjoyed putting up our tree this year. You were very helpful putting all the decorations on the tree in one spot and you have been very busy a pre-school making your own decorations which are hanging very proudly on the front of the tree for all to see! You love laying on your tummy under the tree watching the train set scoot by. "One more time Mummy, one more time!. You and are will be very busy this weekend making some more of our own decorations to give to Nanny and the rest of the gang. I can not wait.
So much has happened in your little life since my last entry. We went to see Hi5 in concert at the end of November. I hadn't let on where we were headed as I wanted to see your reaction when they came on stage. It was exactly how I pictured it! The Theme Song began, you had your head down, standing in the middle of the aisle dancing your little heart out. You looked up at that stage and your mouth dropped open to the floor. You stood frozen for about 30 seconds in complete shock. Then you looked over at me with the same stunned expression as if to say "Oh my, they're real, they're really right there on stage". All I could do was cry. You were so beautiful. You and Lyssy danced the whole 1.5 hours, non stop. You pretty much knew all the moves as we are always watching their Space Magic DVD. It was a very touching moment for me, watching my little angel dance and sing and cheer. The look on your face was priceless. I wish Daddy could have shared it with us.
You have really become quite the little dancer. No matter where we are, if there's music playing....you're dancing. Your very favourite movie at the moment is "Singing in the Rain", Mummy's favourite also. You walk around the house tap dancing and singing "Good morning, Good Morning". As soon as school starts back next year, I am most certainly going to enrol you at Dancing School. I danced for 18 years, I just knew you had it in your blood also. My Little Dancing Queen!!!!
You are still enjoying school and drummed and danced like a Robot on Monday, as I was told by all the teachers. They just love you and were so impressed with your moves. Apparently you stole the show. Not shy are we? Nanny and Poppo took you to a 70th last weekend and Nanny told me at 12.30am (yes, in the wee hours of the morning) was you and the 70 year old pole dancing on the dance floor, then finsihed the night with a Birdy Dance.
We go on our first family holiday after Xmas which we are truely looking forward too. I am looking forward to spending time on the beach with you and relaxing with the whole family. It has been over 11 years since I've spent New Years with Nanny and Poppo, it should be a very memorable moment.
You are growing up so very quickly these last few months, sometimes I have to remind myself that you're only 2. You are speaking so very well and we can practically hold conversations with you now. You are forming short sentences, singing songs. You draw very well, circle, squares, windows on houses, arms and legs on people and trying so very hard to stay within the lines when colouring in. You are begininng to dress yourself which is hysterical. We have your 2.5 yr clinic visit next Tuesday at the school near home. I'm going to discuss Toilet Training with the nurse. I intend to really start on holidays with lots of "nappy off" time.
You recently gave up your "Ma" (dummy) which was heartbreaking. We cut a big hole in it, you looked at it, said "Yuk, it's bwoken" and through it across the lounge-room. We explained that you are a BIG girl now and dont need it anymore. You shrugged as if to say "ok, whatever". And that was that. Occassioanlly you still ask for it, but all we need to say is, you dont need it anymore sweety and you accept that. How our little girl is growing so quickly and so lovely.
Alright, I'll leave it there for the time being. Stay strong and well my angel. I "LUF" you so much Baby.
Mummy oxxxo
