Omah.......

Has it been that long since I last come in here ohmy.gif( Oops!!
Well a lot has happened since I was last here.
First off I would like to say a HUGE Congratulations to Kiki, Steve and big sister Ella on the birth of Lauryn Renee, who I might add is absolutely devine. So over the moon for them. ohmy.gif)
As for me, well had the appointment with the fertility specialist and it's finally been confirmed, I have PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome). Not that that come as a suprise. I've always had suspicions that I had it.
DH count come in higher this time, then the other times. Count 27 million, but unfortunately only 14% are normal. So looks like ICSI for us.
So the plan of attack so far is for me to take the drug Metformin. Start of with one tablet (500mg) for a couple of days and working up to 3 tablets (1500mg) to try and correct my insulin. I go back for another appointment in October, which will give me a better insight into when we start ICSI.

The Dangers of TTC!

In the forum that I venture into quite a bit, well a bloody lot actually, they are discussing the 'Old Wives Tales' and it has me thinking about some of the things I have tried over the years while TTC.

The one that really sticks out is the 'Put a pillow under your bum because it will help the sperm to swim!'. I tried this and the things I learned are:

Caution - not for the faint hearted. When owning a water bed, take extra care in laying backwards. Water beds are not as stable as standard beds. You just may well find that all of a sudden you legs have flung backwards and have suddenly emerged above your head the way nature didn't intend them to be.

Loss of Dignity - You try having your body bent in half, knees inline with your ears, having no knickers on and see if you have any dignity left.

No Help - Yep, sure! Your DH is in the same room, is even on the same bed! You'd think he's come to my aid, helping his wife. Fat chance, no time for that when YOUR p*ssING YOURSELF LAUGHING.

Injury - Yep! Flipping backwards has a tendancy to pull at the muscles in your butt. Try explaining to your workmates the next day on why you have a limp!

On your mark! Get set.....

Here begins the start of my very own blog!!

I have to admit that it wasn't just a random thought that jumped into my head "Hey, why not start a blog!" come on, I'm not that smart.

Kiki, who is one of those women, that once she has come into your life (even in the www) will have a profound affect on you.

She is the one that I got the idea from. I read her blog religiously and it cracks me up, makes me cry and just.... well I just love reading it. I can't wait for when little 'Lolly' arrives. Can imagine all the 'crack up's' that will be happening in her blog with her accounts of the joys of becoming a mummy to her 2nd child.

But before I sign off on this entry, I can't not mention Chrissy! Chrissy is another one that has an affect on you. She is an absolute hoot. Someone that I can just hang sh*t on and know damn well that she can't hold her tongue and is gonna fling sh*t back. LOVE IT.

Well must go, DH is off camping for the whole weekend, and guess what he wants before he leaves? I don't remember in my vows saying 'and must have sex the night before big camping trip because he won't get it for a couple of days and doesn't want to slap-the-monkey in the bush with his mates in close proximity'

Moving it over!!

Started a blog a little while ago - but I keep forgetting my password so I'll bring what I have written (not that it's much) over to here.

TTC 8 Years and 1 Month!!!

Posted by Bwok~Bwok, 06/12/2005, 05:30 PM

Well have no idea how to get my last diary (not that I posted much in it). Should really pull my finger out and keep it up-to-date.

Well had the Soft Palete Surgery done and OMG did it hurt. Has it stopped the snoring, well according to DH it has. Still can't breath through my nose but. Well the Dr did say it would take at least 3 months for the swelling to go down. One of the guys from my work said that he may need to have that surgery done and all I said to him was "Only do it if you need it for medical reason!" No way would I recommened it anyone else if it's JUST for snoring.

Just under 4 months and it's the Fertility Specialist appointment. ATM i'm ok with it, but then other times, it freaks the sh*t out of me.

On the Xmas note, we're having at Dad's house and I'm not looking forward to it. Only reason is is that Dad has said that the Step-brother and Step-Sister won't be there, but he said that last time and look at what happened. They both need to grow up. My theory is, if I don't see them then sh*t won't happen. I know this sounds cocky, but at least I know how to behave around people and especially in someone elses house, but they don't and I always have a hard time keeping my mouth shut.

Well will try and keep this upto date more often now.

Ciao to me! biggrin.gif

I was actually more concerned about XH coming. He was in a foul mood (like he always was before christmas) and knew he would take it out on everyone!! But the step brother and step sister are idiots too.
