Month #2

Posted by Lou_Pt2, 03/07/2012, 01:26 PM

Well, the last month's efforts ended in a chemical pregnancy, making my period come a bit late, which actually worked out very well for this month! Don't get me wrong, we were all disappointed and upset that it didn't work the first time, because after the positive hpts (albiet faint!) and unmistakable pregnancy symptoms, we were sure that it was it.

Interestingly, the donor and his family decided to travel interstate for the first week of July for a holiday! And low and behold, my first positive opk was on the day he arrived! So, we drove down to the coast and inseminated in the car. This is the entry I wrote yesterday on a message board:

Well, we got a positive OPK yesterday and traveled to the donor to do the insem in the car, which was a bit awkward! Haha! DP kept a lookout and lucky I had a skirt on, is all I can say! We used the preseed and a syringe. I think there was about 3ml in it and most of it went in, but when I took it out, some got stuck between the syringe and the plunger, so we pulled the plunger out and some sprayed onto the car interior! EW!! haha! And DP joked about worrying if it got into her mouth and she hopes she won't get pregnant from that! hahahahaha! Joking of course! It was rather funny actually, and then me lying flat in the front seat with my feet up on the dash and a towel underneath for the 45 minute trip home. Sore coccyx after that, I tell you! Especially in a bumpy ute!!! And during all of this, I got DP to flex her sexy, tattooed muscles so I could STILL manage to have the big O a bunch of times. I AM OFFICALLY SUPERWOMAN!!!!! I think us chicks go a bit crazy at this time of the month when ttc'ing! We do WHATEVER it takes to get that bfp! lol!!!!

Anyway, got another positive OPK today with EWCM, and a lovely dip in temp, but the donor can't do it tonight, so we are off to meet up with him to do it in the morning, so the folks at the coast can have a DAYTIME show, this time!!! WOOHOO. I might need more towels and blankets for at least some modesty! I figured if the egg can survive for 24 hours, it will manage to hang around til tomorrow morning if I ovulated this evening.

Then, the positive opk the next day turned negative at night, along with some prominent ovulation cramping and a bit of nausea. So... we decided that Tuesday morning might be good timing. Here is my post from the message board from 1/2 hour ago!

Well, we just got back from our second venture down the coast to inseminate. Was beautiful down there at the beach; really sunny and ppl were on holidays and happy. It seemed perfect actually. I just draped a throw rug over me and laid back and dtd. Went much smoother than Sunday night because we had more pillows and more light! haha! It was pleasant riding home singing away to Karise and staring at the blue sky with the sun on me. Functionally, I used a 10ml syringe and preseed. My chart definitely looks like O is today, and most likely this morning. I had cramping last night and my OPK was finally negative after 36 hours of positives (yes, I took them obsessively! lol). My CM turned from EWCM to watery/creamy yesterday afternoon too. The temp is nearly above coverline, but will most likely be tomorrow morning. Yay! I have met my end of the bargain, and now it's the baby's turn to come to the party!!!

So, to summarise, we inseminated O-2 (CD12) and on O (CD14). I had fertile cm for a good few days, but today it wasn't very fertile, but we used Preseed to counteract that problem. I elevated the hips both times, and had the Big O afterwards. I was also really relaxed, especially the second time, and happy. One thing is for sure, I won't be doing IUI again... that cramping last month was really uncomfortable, and the 'procedure' was really clinical and embarrassing, even just in front of Cris.

To add to all of this, I'm not sure if I have written down about last month's rainbow motif. On CD11, 12, and 13, we had four different prominent rainbows or rainbow references that were a little "coincidental". In the sky, a line in a mag about being a spiritual answer from our angels, a bright one on the wall at our friend's, and then a random message from my very good friend about how she saw a rainbow that day and thought of us, and knows that it's a good omen for her to see them, and in her life when rainbows appear, everything turns out well. So, the baby tried last month, but my body failed her (probably thanks to all the c-sections and thus scarring I have). THIS MONTH, freakily enough, on CD11 we see a rainbow appear on a white wall at the train station with no glass or rain or anything around. THEN, CD12, the weirdest thing happened. When we were in the car sitting in the driveway about to head down the coast for the insem at about 7pm, in pitch black, we turn on the satnav and the grey screen turned on, in preparation for the TomTom logo and then the menu. On the grey screen, Cris saw a distinct curved rainbow with colour and defined edges, taking up the top right 1/4 of the screen! Very weird! We have owned that satnav for a few years and never has that happened. There were no crystals, rain, glass, or light around. THEN, on CD13 (last night) I drove to the servo to fill up petrol and whilst filling up, I said, "baby, will everything work out okay? Please give me a sign". Walked into shop, paid for petrol, drove out of servo, stopped at traffic light. The silver car in front of me had a beautiful stripe of rainbow shining on it's right bumper underneathe it's light. What the?! It was nighttime and I haven't seen that before. I thought it may be a refraction from my plastic car light at the front and light from the traffic light above. Not sure how, but I do know that I haven't seen that before, it was nighttime, and the timing was PERFECT. What do you make of that??! Divine intervention? Cris, me and the kids, do believe that it was a message from our baby that she is coming and that everything will be okay. We have been given other messages from her too, but I will go into detail later on about those. Save them for another day! original.gif
