Well I've just come back from my first Ob appt....all's good, measuring 7w2days so only 3 days off my original EDD of 17/2/13 (EDD now 20/2/13).

Good strong heartbeat - or TWO!!!

This was a suprise pregnancy as we were going to discuss in 6 months whether we'd go for #3, now we've got #3 and 4.

DH didn't come with me as he was looking after DS 1 & 2 and we didn't want them to know anything till we'd had the first scan.  Problem is the Ob was running late and DH had to rush off to an appt so I haven't told him yet.

Not sure how well he's going to take it cos he's already stressing about our "surprise" as it is.

Off to do some serious research now : )

I don't have much to say as I haven't had twins, but congratulations and how exciting. Good luck for the next 8 months.

Wow - scary and exciting!  I don't have any advice, but good luck!  Oh, and I'd tell DH asap, it will get harder the longer you leave it waiting for the 'right' time... original.gif

Congrats Babycat - although I can imagine you are freaking out! I'm due about the same time as you with a surprise #3 and my scan is on Monday... I'm stressing out about the possibility of twins, too. I hope your DH is super supportive and you feel a lot calmer soon! Good luck original.gif

Wow congratulations. We are also having number 3 and DH told me if it was twins he would be so stressed. After a bit of talk he said he would be fine and kind of excited. Turned out to be one. I'm sure your DH will be happy. If it were my DH I would tell him now. Good luck and how exciting

Thanks for the congratulations, it is slowly sinking in and I'm a little calmer than I was yesterday.  I told DH last night after the boys went to bed, he took it ok, didn't really talk for the rest of the evening - I think he was trying to digest it all without totally freaking out.  He's also a lot better this morning and we're now working out all the logistics of cars etc.

I also rang my mum (who's interstate - needless to say she was just as shocked but very supportive).  Not telling anyone else until at least after the 12 week scan. If people guess I'm pregnant before that we'll admit that we are but not saying anything about the twin situation until after then.
