Hi everyone,
I started spotting brown blood on Friday (after going to the toilet to pee - sorry tmi) and its remained brown but a little darker today. I've also started cramping a little to my left.
Trying not to stress out more by going on a google search rampage so just thought I'd ask if any of you have experienced this since we'd all be roughly due within a few weeks from each other.
This is my first pregnancy and even though I know each person goes through a different pregnancy experience, it still eases the mind when others experience similar things.

I'm just on 5 weeks and I've been experiencing the same thing. I had quite a heavy implantation bleed and then nothing until a week ago when I had a tiny bit of brown when I wiped. Nothing again until Thursday and then it's been at least one large amount on my toilet paper when wiping each day.
I saw my doctor about it and I'm confined to resting for the next two weeks till my scan (she didn't see the point before almost 7 weeks as I wouldn't hear a heartbeat and wouldn't see much), and go to emergency if it becomes more like having your AF.
I had heavier cramps before I started bleeding, and the past few days it's just been a general aching in my pelvic area with the odd twinge.

I hope it's nothing big for either of us and it all sorts itself out soon.

Thanks for the reply kmdoll
I ended up calling the office of my OB but he wasn't in so they passed me to a on call OB. He told me to go in tomorrow morning for another blood test to check my HCG and progesterone again.
The spotting and cramping seems to have stopped now but I'm still happy to do the blood test. I already had two HCG blood tests last week but another one can't hurt just to make super sure it's still doubling strongly.
All the best kmdoll! Sticky vibes to both of us!

Hi Joan,

If you join the due on feb facebook page, there are quite a few ladies on there who have mentioned spotting which has turned out to be fine. Had you had sex recently? That seems to be a risky time.

Hi Joan
The Facebook group is now called absolutely febulous. I know when I joined a friend of mine noticed and clicked on it but because it's closed group didn't go any further. I'm not sure if you can delete it in news feed.
Good luck with your appointment today! X bbighug.gif

Hi Joan,
I have been having spotting/bleeding too sad.gif
Last night I went to the movies and held my bladder for too long then there was blood in my urine and small brown spotting which got worse today, really nervous but I have been told brown bleeding shouldnt be too much of a worry cause, however I have an ultrasound this arvo so hopefully they will let me know.

Let us know what the blood test says.
Have PM'd you about the FB group.

Hope the spotting turns out to be nothing ladies. I understand how worrying it is, but I have read so many cases with happy endings. Thinking of you both.

Hi all,
Just thought I'd give my update. My OB/FS has been away sick the last two weeks so I've been dealing with his nurse and the on call OB.
Anyway blood test showed it increased but still not where it should be.
18/6 - 101 21/6 - 303 (tripled which is good)25/6 - 423 (didn't even double sigh)
The spotting has stopped which is good.
They've asked me to come back on Thursday for another blood test and also an early ultra sound. They said it was good it was increasing and sometimes it's just slower for some ppl but that that's why they wanted to do the further tests.
So I guess I'm thankful that they're proactive.
I just want it to be Thursday already!

Glad that your hormones are at least increasing Joan10. I hope you have good news with the ultrasound on Thursday!

LittleJacksonOne - I hope things turn out good for you too. Send you both lots of good sticking vibes.

I've been having a lot of cramps today and bleeding a bit more, but still brownish red and when I wipe. It's starting to really drive me crazy though.

Just stopping by to see how everyone is going?

Joan10 & LittleJacksonOne?

Just thought I would let you know that I had spotting with both my pregnancies at around 10-14 weeks.   It was mostly pink, but also brownish and red stringy.

It turned out to be something called Disiduation of the cervix - in other words the lining of my womb grew down and slightly outside my cervix.  OB said that it is quite common and is only caused by an overreaction to hormone in the body.

Im hoping it doesn't happen with this bub, but if it does I hope I won't panick as much.

Hi Babushka Doll,
Sadly my HCG levels are very low. Trying to stay optimistic. I have another blood test tomorrow and I'm scheduled for an Early Pregnancy Scan tomorrow. It's also my mums bday tomorrow so I'm hoping I get to share good news with them rather than being a blubbering crying mess.
Shall update you all tomorrow!
LittleJacksonOne - hope all is well with your spotting.

Hi ladies,
Unfortunately it looks like a losing battle.
Again my HCG did not double.
I was rushed to the emergency hospital last night due to severe pain on the left of my abdomen. I was terrified of an ectopic and asked them to do tests or an ultrasound but since I told them I had an appointment this morning they just gave me a pain killer and told me to go to the appointment.
Today wasn't any better. Pain was still there. Early ultrasound didn't find any ectopic and found a mass in my uterus not resembling a gestational sac though. At the least I'm hoping I will just miscarry naturally and there's no ectopic.
It also showed I had a corpus luteum cyst on my left ovary which again I hope is causing the pain as a cyst is better than a threat of a bursting tube.
For now pain is still there but not as bad. I have another ultrasound booked in on Monday in the hopes of finding whether it really is in my uterus or not.
I just wanted to thank you all for your support and I wish you all the best for the next 8 or so months!
