Narrow booster seats

I'm just starting to research this so hoping someone can help with some recommendations.
DS2 will be using the current car seat once he grows out of the borrowed baby capsule, so I think I have 1-2 months before I need a new seat for DS1, who is turning 4 in October. Since he's just shy of 4, would a booster seat be ok? He's about 16kgs according to my parents but I think he's more like 14kgs, will have to weigh him to check.
The other problem we have is we have a VW Golf, so it's a bit squishy at the back, so I'm looking for a narrow-ish booster seat.
I've been looking at the Toys r Us catalogue and they have the Infa-Secure Vario Trend Booster on sale. It looks a bit wide though. I would like a seat that has a 5 point harness, or do all boosters have that? Like I said, no idea where to start.
Can anyone recommend any narrow booster seats please? Thanks.

A booster seat is designed to be used with a lap/sash seatbelt.
There are convertible boosters which have a forward facing inbuilt 5pt harness to use for children up to 18kgs and then to use with a lap/sash seatbelt for children to 26kgs.
You can also purchase an 'add on' harness to use with a booster seat. These are NOT recommended by most safety authorities (including Vic Roads, Kidsafe etc) as research (see sticky at top of this forum) shows that at best they provide no better protection then a lap/sash seatbelt and at worst can cause injury in an accident.
If you are looking at a convertible booster (with inbuilt 5pt harness) the Hipod Senator (sold at Target) is a slim seat at 45cm wide.
Personally I am one to keep my child in a 5pt harness seat as long as possible. I changed DS2 (4.5yrs) to a Maxi Cosi Complete Air (FF only seat) to keep him in a 5pt harness for longer.
