recommend me a PC

I am after a new computer,, budget appr $1500.. currntly we have an acer PC (desktop ) which has been great, but it has got old, and i am sure has a thousand virus's etc in it, and i know its not going to last much longer.. i have my heart set on the Apple Mac Desktop, starting price $1300 appr, so so nice. Can i confirm apple computers done use Google , its Safari, is it any difference.. My friend has told me they work the same, but the Apple takes a while to get used to. i need a good computer, so would love someone to give me some suggestions , this is what we use it for
- i do my husb BAS /invoices, currently use excel. but this will change to something more advanced with a new computer
- do a lot of movies, photos of the kids
- my preppie is getting the hang of playing games on computer
-facebook time.. (time waster )
-general internet business
- remotely thru my work as i occasionally work from home during peak times
I am also now sure what size i will need. i am off to d*ck smith today to check some out and have a good chat.

Do yourself a huge favour and just get an iMac!! I did and I will never go back to a pc. It doesn't take long to get used to. If you need Excel, you can get MS Office for mac. For browsers, Safari is good but also have downloaded FireFox as well. Just do it! You won't regret it
