Gold!!

Wow, cant believe this hadn't been claimed yet!

Been super busy at work, even worked last weekend, so I have been MIA. And I am fighting the flu which couldn't have been worse timing really with everything going on at work but I'm slowly getting better.

All going well here. I'm now on heartburn meds and feel so much better for it now! I was on them with DD too.
We can see baby moving on the outside now, just little belly shakes when we are really looking but bub is getting bigger and stronger original.gif

Getting a few Braxton Hicks too, maybe 3 or so a day. So they have started a bit earlier with this bub than they did with DD.

Anyway, all good here. Hope everyone else is good.
Off to read the other threads.

Sorry Twilight Angel, I'm still lurking just not posting much due to health issues.

Due Date- 28th August
Gender Prediction- girl
Location- southern NSW
Siblings- DD1 2 yrs, plus heaps of fluffy alpacas

Hope everyone is doing ok, my reumatoid arthritis has been playing up so I was bedridden earlier this week. My 20 week scan went well, except baby wouldn't turn so we could get a profile shot. DD has been cuddling and kissing my tummy heaps, but it's funny because she insists on pulling up both my shirt and hers so our bare tummies can touch. She's done it out in public a couple of times, very cute! Thankfully she only pulls my shirt off my tummy not my boobs too!  We're going to Brisbane next week to watch my grandfather march on ANZAC Day, can't wait. I took DD to buy a Trunkie the other day, she loves it already.

Hope everyone keeps feeling those lovely kicks from the inside original.gif

Hi twilightangel

Due Date- 24th August
Gender Prediction- surprise
Siblings- 3 x DS

I am wondering if it's possible for you to please update the list to include the due 16th - 31st August expectant mummies please?  Thanks

Not much to report after my post the other day.  Getting lots of kicks that DH can feel too.  Feeling tired, but otherwise well.

Hope everyone's feeling good!

I defintely can update the list it's just I cant access the original one that MsGretch has done for you so it's going to take me a little while (luckily I'm stuck at home today with sick kids), plus I don't want to step on her toes if she wants to continue doing the list.

White-Lily - I hope you get rid of the dreaded flu soon. My DD2 started vomiting last night and just seems tired and off today. I'm hoping she keeps her germs to herself. The belly movements are awesome hey? Mine are quite noticable and bubs kicks are getting really strong. Pleased to hear I'm not the only one suffering for Braxton Hicks, I've been having a few a day for about 2 weeks now.

Lovealpacas - I'm sorry to hear that you have been bedridden of late, that must be so hard. Your DD sounds gorgeous. When I ask my 2 year old where baby is he pats my belly or my boobs, lol. DD2 has shown the most interest in this pregnancy, she comes in every morning asking to feel Gumnut move etc.

CCABW - I have updated the list but as mentioned before I hope I haven't stepped on anyones toes. Hope you continue to feel well.

AFM - All is going well here, I really love being pregnant. My little gumnut loves kicking up a storm every morning around 6am and then from about 7pm onwards at nights. I've been getting a few Braxton Hicks here and there but nothing too bad at the moment thankfully. The hardest thing to deal with at the moment is the dreaded SPD, during the day I'm not too bad but trying to find a comfortable way to sleep at nights is proving difficult.

How's everyone going with their search for a baby name? We have a girls name picked out, two actually but we can't agree on boys names so are really having trouble there. I'm hoping that if we have a little boy when he is born something will just come to us.

Take care everyone and have a great day original.gif

#8 Feral CCABW

Posted 22 April 2012 - 04:16 PM

Thanks for updating the list, twilightangel!  Now we are all in one group it makes sense to have everyone together, and I will take full responsibility if anyone's toes feel stood on! original.gif

Re baby names: we have a girl's name (the same one we chose when expecting our first) but are really struggling with a boy's name.  Having 3 boys already means we have used up 6 lovely names already.  DH and I don't seem to agree on many names at all!

Good luck with finding a name, twilightangel.  There are some pretty good websites to trawl through.

Hi to everyone else!

twilightangel loving the belly movements! I love watching for them when I'm not doing anything else original.gif nice way to pass some quiet time
Glad I'm not the only one getting BH! I got them early with DD too, at least our bodies remember what they are meant to be doing and are warming up! I wonder if it will make for a quicker labour? DD was out pretty quick for a first baby.
Thanks for doing the list too. Hope you Dd is doing ok today.

Baby Names we have a boys name picked out (has been set for ages!) but are at a loss for the perfect girls name. We have a few names that one loves and the other doesn't mind but nothing we both love. We haven't even talked names for a few weeks because we dont seem to be getting anywhere!

lovealpacas hope the arthritis isn't giving you too much grief this week.
How cute of your DD wub.gif DD makes me take a picture of her tummy when I take my belly pictures and she has started to poke my tummy sometimes to try and get bub to poke back

AFM still recovering from the dreaded flu. The coughing is the worst, baby doesn't like it much either.

Hope everyone is doing well. I'm mostly over the flu, cough is still hanging around a bit but its not bad anymore (yay).

Nothing much else to report... lots of movement from bub, fair few BH's everyday which are becoming annoying, MW appointment this Friday. That's it really, pretty boring over here original.gif

White-Lily - Yeay on being over the flu  ddance.gif

Me: I gots a cold/viral laryngitis either way it sucks, have had Friday and Monday off work and have been trying to not pass it onto my DH and DD. Now back at work today trying to catch up, have been taking Panadol & just hands.gif it goes away soon.

Alright that's enough of my pity party. How's everyone else going?

Anything fun to report, getting anything ready for the babies room etc?

#16 White-Lily

Posted 01 May 2012 - 03:22 PM

ms-marti that sucks that your sick now! Its not even winter yet!! Hopefully this will be it for the both of us and winter will be a walk in the healthy park  wink.gif

Anything fun to report, getting anything ready for the babies room etc? We have all the furniture set up - still need to get a chair for in the nursery. Ive been through some of DD's baby clothes and put into the drawers in the nursery and bought some more MCN's and a few onsies. Mainly the room looks like it has WAY too much stuff in it and nothing is particually sorted! I keep shutting the door. There is stuff piled high on the change table and random things all over the floor, the pram is in there too.

I really had to talk myself out of washing baby clothes the other week  ph34r.gif WAY too soon! but they are so cute and small wub.gif

We are doing heaps of odd job throughout the rest of the house tho which is keeping us pretty busy original.gif DH did some light fittings and put up some shelves and we started (well DH and DD) the vegie patch out the back. I'm pretty much on supervision duties only which is boring! Im taking a much bigger interest in cooking atm which I think is good original.gif

Anyway, rambling a bit

Welcome Bx5 and congrats on expecting a little girl. What do you mean by best baby suburbs?? Im not in Sydney but if I were looking to relocate I would be looking at schools (both primary and secondary) rather than focusing on the baby years. We looked for good schools when we were choosing where to build our new house. And also daycare/childcare accessibility.

AFM 24 weeks today and we had a check up with the MW this morning. ALL good, bub measuring spot on, good heartbeat, etc.
I got sent for a whole bunch of tests as I didn't bother with blood tests when we first found out we were pregnant again so hopefully everything is alright there.

#19 FreeRangeBabies

Hi all, thought i would pop in and say hello!

I am busy painting the nursery... This s bubba 3 but the first nursery I have done! I am a bit excited.

Lots of movements and big kicks. Ds1 loves to feel her and he randomly comes to cop a feel, even if she is asleep. Ds2 however, keeps missing all the movement. I think he as given up now as when i ask if he wants to feel her kick he says he is busy. Poor thing, feeling a bit left out I think.

Had my gtt test the other day.... It was worse than I remember! The results appear to be ok, although I am extremely vit d deficient,so now on 4 times the dosage to get my levels back up. I also seem to have quite low blood pressure which is cuasing dizzy/fainting spells. So I now spend a fair amount of time lying on the couch waiting for the world to stop spinning.

I am now officially due on 28 th July, but am measuring consistently 2 - 3 weeks ahead.

This group is so quiet. I imagine all the action is happening on the fb page.....

Pleased to see everyone else is plodding along nicely!

I am so pleased I have finished up work I don't know how I would be coping!

List is up to date again original.gif

Welcome to the new girls joining us, hope you are enjoying your pregnancy.

White-Lily - Pleased to hear you are almost over the flu, it's awful being sick whilst pregnant. Sounds like you are making great progress with your little ones room. Glad everything went well at your midwifes appointment.

Ms-Marti - Hope you are feeling better real soon. Haven't started bubs room yet, I'd really like to but fingers crossed we might be moving into a place of our own soon so I can have more fun then doing up a room. I have sorted through baby clothes though and washed and hung them in my wardrobe and cleared the space where Gumnuts bassinet will be.

FreeRangeBabies - Hope your having fun doing up a nursery this time around. Would love to see some pics when it is complete. Your kids sound gorgeous and very involved in your pregnancy which is lovely. DD2 loves coming in every morning and rubbing my belly but the older 2 don't show much interest. DS2 will pat my belly and say bubba and then try and sit on my belly, lol. Yep I also did the GTT last week, ewww. I hope you can get your levels higher soon and the dizzy spells stop.

AFM - I had the best morning this morning, I got to go to my 3D/4D scan and see Gumnut. Was just a great time, the kids enjoyed seeing bubba and we got some really cute pics. I am so in love!!!!

I'm really enjoying this pregnancy too, the kicks and feeling bubs move and the excitement on DD2's face whenever she feels Gumnut move.

I can't believe I am 28 weeks on Monday so will only have approximately 10 weeks left. Wow has that come around fast. I have an antenatal appointment on Tuesday and will be having a sizing scan at 36 weeks so will get to see bubs again just before he/she is born.

Oh and I'm hoping I've had my fair share of illnesses to cover the family through winter. I had the older 3 tag team coming down with what I presume was gastro and the older 2 missed almost a week of school.

I had my fingers crossed that DS2 would avoid it but no, he started getting a temp and bad nappies then suddenly woke one morning covered in a rash so off to the Dr's we go and he is diagnosed with Scarlet fever. Strong course of antibiotics and a few days later and he is improving but I started feeling very tired and flat with a sore throat. I have bacterial tonsiliitis (the starting symptoms of Scarlet fever), luckily I got into the Dr's quickly and he managed to find an antibiotic safe for me. Funnily enough though I was meant to start taking it this morning and I no longer have a sore throat so not sure what to do, lol.

Take care everyone original.gif

Hello everyone. Happy Mother's Day to those of you who are mummies already. I had a pretty good day, took DD to her swimming lesson, as DH still has stitches in his leg. Then we went and bought some hay for the 'pacas, then I got to have a great afternoon sleep with pizza and garlic bread for dinner, yay!

Things have been up and down lately, the arthritis has been coming and going. I was busy cleaning the house last weekend and getting ready for my trip away, and DH ended up cutting his leg open with a stanley knife while working outside, so we all ended up spending Saturday afternoon last weekend in the emergency room at the local hospital. I was a little bit glad to get in the car and head to Sydney for the CWA of NSW state conference. It went from Sunday to Friday and I had a great time, although by the end of it I really missed DH and DD. It was so exciting to see them again.

DD will be moving in to her 'big girl bedroom' in a few weeks, my dad is coming down to visit next week while DH is away at a conference, so he's going to paint it for her. Before DD was born, as we didn't know her sex, the nursery was decorated with a farmyard theme. Now we are in the process of decorating another bedroom for her and the new baby will go in to the farmyard nursery. DD loves birds so we have a few things for her walls, I bought a great owl coathook from IKEA the other day which she will love.

The baby has been moving heaps, lots of little kicks at first but now I think it's upgraded to tumble-turns, the movements are huge! I've started feeling a bit light-headed sometimes, so hopefully my blood-pressure is ok. I finally have my first midwife appointment this week. The hospital has been super busy and it was the soonest I could get in, back when I booked a few months ago.

Hope everyone is feeling ok, and good luck getting those nurseries ready! We were a bit slack with DD, it was finished only about 3 weeks before she arrived.

Hi all,

It's been ages since I posted, forgot my password & the web site had a breakdown when I tried to reset! Finally back again - YAY. Made it really simple this time, there is no way I should forget it.

Can someone please update my details on the due in list - due date changed to 12th Aug & bubs is a boy.

Nice to still see new members joining the group, hope everyone is well with their pregnancies. Things are going well here, but time is flying - really busy at work, the kids on my days off & had my & hubs parent staying recently too - that was interesting to say the least. Can't believe I have under 13 weeks to go already - getting to the business end & excitement is growing!

For those of you who don't know, one of our members has already had her baby - Karen Emmerson (not sure of her EB name), but she had a little girl, Piper, a couple of weeks back @ 25 weeks or thereabouts, she weighed just over 500g. She is doing really well & gaining weight, a real little fighter. Congratulations to Karen, Piper & the rest of the family.

Well that's about it for now. Will try to post more regularly now that I have my password sorted.

Hi everyone,    Sorry it's been so long, we only have an iPad so updating and internet connection is pretty bad. We are still due 24th August and having a boy - which is awesome since we have been calling the fetus a he the whole time. Chris and I have been married for nearly 11 weeks now and still married which is good  biggrin.gif
So the morning sickness passed by the wedding week 15 but the still was a bit of vomiting on the honeymoon - the price I pay for my impatience to get pregnant!!!Currently catching every cold/flu/sinus infection within a 10 Kim radius not fun. On the flip side my little man is so busy, especially at night of course. He responds to his Dads hand and follows it around my belly.
I love this child soooo much already and can't believe how much life has changed for me, this is truly the best experience ever. Hope everyone lose is doing well, am off to read all of your posts.Much loveRach
