I posted this in the Pregnancy section too.. but no one responed.
I am 36 + 4 with number 3. DS was an emergency c-section and DD was scheduled c-section at 39 weeks. With both my other pregnancies I was pretty comfortable the whole way through, and with both I was carrying alot of fluid, my face was even swollen and my ankles were just unbelievable, despite that though I felt good, and had no other dramas, oh except with both kids I was lucky enough to get a barrage of stretch marks. DS was 3.6kg and DD 3.8kg so decent bubs too.
Fast forward to now, and I am not swollen at all, not one stretch mark it is the prettiest tummy I have had! Everyone is telling me look so great this time around, but I feel huge and uncomfortable my tummy is so tight and large and uncomfortable, I am finding it hard to even get in/out of bed! And this time I have vulval varicosity and mild sciatica so overall I am in a bit of pain.. Plus I have gained 3kg more now with 3+ weeks to go than I did total with my other 2 kids. And when this baby moves around it is actually hurting down low in my pelvis and in my ribs more than the others at full term.. And I have way more frequent Braxton Hicks.
So.. basically this is a very different pregnancy, and I have no idea how I am going to keep on for the next 3 weeks! I can't imagine there is going to be any room! My OB says that he thinks this baby will be 4kg +.. So I guess I am wondering is there a chance that I might go into labour a bit earlier, does the pains and tightness mean anything? and if anyone has ever had a bub come a little early did you have a 'feeling' that it might happen and were there any signs when you look back that you bub was 'cooked' earlier than your due date.
Hope that all makes sense!
