For the last 10 days or so I have been having period like pains down very very low...it feels as though this is where the LO head is. These pains - well, dull ache may be a better descriptor - last for about 30 minutes /1 hour and I experience about 3-4 episodes during the day. They do not disturb my sleep.
I spoke to my midwife about this on Tuesday and was told it's normal feelings and is just the cervix preparing for labour.
From about 32 weeks I've been getting stabby pains in my cervix: they really take my breath away! Last night when sitting on the couch I had an episode where I literally felt bub grind his head down and move down a few inches. Painful.
Finally have been getting ligament stretching in my groin, which is a new symptom (last 4-5 days) and stops me in my tracks.
I haven't really had any recognisable BH, although I do occasionally touch my belly and find it is rock hard: there's no associated pain. Today I've started to have some pain associated with these tightenings, particularly around the top of my bump and under the ribs.
WARNING TMI: Discharge is getting thicker and whiter, and is pretty much constant.
So, my questions are:
is this prelabour? (i'm pretty sure it is)
How long can this last for?
What was your experience? How long before actual labour started for you after these type of symptoms began?
