BOY -

First pick - Colin Zayd P_
Back up   - Louis (no middle name yet. Must have a Z in it) P_

GIRLS -

Kaitlin Zoe Mae P_
Annabel Zoe Mae P_

After having trouble finding names I got my 22 month old son to play with wooden alphabet letter from the fridge and got him to pick 4 letters. He handed me C first which comfirmed my urge for Colin, then K and Kaitlin came to mind just out of the blue, then A and I instantly though about Annabel our CHN and though I have always loved her name and then finally L, I had Lucas on my list and Louis, DH cousin just had a baby boy Lucus so Louis has fallen into place.

Thoughts ????

Louis is an awesome name, and Kaitlyn for a girl is perfect (I could be biased with that one though)

Louis is a brilliant name, goes far better with your other kids than Colin does (I'd feel shortchanged if I was called Colin when I have siblings with great names).

Annabel is also a great name, far better than Kaitlin (should be Caitlin).

Sorry, I think Colin is awful.

Caitlin is miles better but spelt this way.

I love Colin, and it's just been approved by my DH for our boys' list.  biggrin.gif

Louis is nice, but growing up in a French culture-rich area, I pronounce this Loo-wee, and constantly get corrected. (Unless you are going with the Loo-wee, then it gets a bump in approval from me!)

I prefer Annabel over Kaitlin, no matter the spelling.

Totally this! I like PP's suggestion of Louis Zephyr.

I'm with V. Louis and Annabel are easily the best.

Another vote for Louis and Annabel.

How about Louis Zachary

Love Annabel Zoe

I don't love Colin, but it's okay.  I'd ditch Zayd as a middle name, and use Louis.  (Of course, I do also support everyone's suggestion of just going with Louis.)

I love Annabel Zoe too. I think Kaitlin/Caitlin/Caitlyn is way too popular at the moment.

I prefer Louis too.

Louis Zephyr is uber cool.

Annabel Zara for a girl.

I don't like C names being substituted by K, too Karadashian for me. And the world hasn't rotated enough for me to think Colin is cool again.

I like Colin more than Louis.

My take is C is for Caitlin as much as Colin, personally. But I'd take Annabel over Kaitlin. Annabel's a really nice name. I like K okay as an initial (Katherine, Katrina, etc.) but Kaitlin seems very modern and constructed/kreative compared to your other choices.

I've heard both of these. It's a sound clip of each. I think I like the Colin Powell one a bit more but I like either more than Louis.

Annabel is lovely but I don't like the others at all!

I think the majority would pronounce Colin like the second one on that link, so not like Colin Powell, which to me sounds like colon. As I have three uncles called Colin, one beiing an 80 year old great uncle, I do see it as being very outdated.

I've got ancient great-great-uncles named Jack, Isaac, and Max, but that hasn't kept them  off the baby name lists. wink.gif

It just makes them classic, I'm sure.  happy.gif

I don't know any Colins over 30 so yeah that's probably part of it. I just can't warm to Louis. Colin and Callum (I'm not sure they're actually related I just mean the sound) come across as less contrived to me.
