My wife and I hardly believe that babysiter can take care of our baby well.
One day, we went back home from office early and found that our babysitter was slpeeping and our baby crying. We felt so angry and then fired her.
Then, one of my friengs gave me advice to place a monitoring device in house. To my surprise, we can view the monitoring video on PC or cellphone and talk with the people on the other side. So, I just wonder what baby monitor you are using?

Or, you have any other good idea?

Where did you find your baby sitter?

I think most professional nannies take their job pretty seriously and you have had a bad experience.

A moniter is a good tool, but it can't see everywhere so you really need to find a good babysitter who you can trust.

Find a professional to care for your child. Someone you can trust. Personally I don't think it is ok to set up a camera to spy on someone while they are working, especially if you do it without their knowledge. I am guessing you wouldn't like to be spied on by your employer and I know I certainly wouldn't like it.

if you can't find a babysitter/nanny you can trust send you child to a day care centre.

I wouldn't leave my child with anyone I didn't trust, no matter how many cameras and videos I set up in the house.

I've seen worse!  wink.gif

What kind of nanny sleeps through a crying baby?  And 'to my surprise I can talk with people on the other side.'  Just seems odd to me.

I'd never use a baby sitter for when I work. I use family day care or centre based care. It's all well and good to have a video monitor, but what do you do when you see something you don't like and you are an hour away and the police at least 5-10 minutes. I only leave my kids with someone I full trust. I still shudder thinking of those nanny cam videos that I saw on Oprah where young babies were abused.
