Paxton Robert
Imogen Ellen

Robert and Ellen aren't names I particulary like but they are the middle names of my parents so I thought it would be nice to use them.

Imogen is ok. Don't love it or hate it.

If you are asking about the second names (as they are your parents) then go for it, because Elvis and Priscilla called Lisa Marie's second name Gladys, after his mother.

It's nice you are using your parents names, they will be touched.

Paxton is like mould. I detest it but suspect it would grow on me. The Paxtons I've met have been sweet little boys so there's a plus for that name. Robert I like, I'd consider it for number 3 myself if we didn't have definite naming 'theme' going that I'm kinda hesitant to break!

Imogen I don't like because of association (I know a girl with that name who is a little t*at to put it kindly). It does seem to be on the out popularity wise locally so that is a plus in it's favour here. Ellen I don't like at all.

Like all the names but Paxton. Probably not the name's fault- just reminds me of the hatchet job ACA did on the unemployed "we won't cut our hair for a job" Paxton family many years ago.

Imogen is ok, Paxton I don't like sorry, but it's really NMS.

#18 LeeBee8

Not a big fan of either, sorry. When I hear Paxton I think of that unemployed family that were on A current affair a few years back.

I love Imogen and Robert, Ellen is nice, Paxton not so much.

Wow the hate for Paxton is bit strong, a little sad as it is my DS (4yrs) name and of course I love it. TBH I haven't had anything bad said about the name to us, it is the kind of name that grows on you.

Imogen Ellen, is fine, although I am growing a little tired of Imogen. However, Paxton is awful, Robert is a far better name and I am not really that fond of it.

Paxton sounds made up. What is the origin?

Imogen Ellen is nice (Ellen is my mom's name so I like it. wink.gif

#23 AlexandraI

Paxton reminds me of Tampax or a surname.

#24 Erma Gerd

Posted 13 April 2012 - 04:27 PM

I'm not a fan of Paxton either, sorry. I initially thought it was a girls' name, along the modern-masculine-style of Peyton, Taylor etc, and for a boy it kind of has Dawson's Creek overtones for me.

I like Robert as a middle name, love it as a first name, love Imogen and Ellen.
