Someone I know is a speech therapist in Ireland. She has a client whose mother couldn't decide which of her two fave singers, Shakira and Beyonce, to call her DD after.

So she called her after both.

Blaize is fine, though I'd normally see it spelt Blaise (its a French name).

NMS
I think there a bigger things to worry about than the spelling of names original.gif

but arent they cute!

ETA: i think huntah might be the mums last name and BLaize and Austin are the kids names or maybe  she has another boy>

Blaize is a cute name.

Ive seen the name Blaize before, I dont mind it.

Huntah is silly spelling.

I dont mind Austin either.

I knew someone called Billie-Jo - she would be in her 20's now, hyphenated names were a bit the rage at the time, I think.
Not that bad a name IMO.

The most recent 'think of the children' moment I had the other week was a whole new level badness

Jyi

Gathering it's supposed to be Jai.

Why???

That poor kid.

It was in the herald sun and printed twice so no typo.

Can anyone please explain the origin of random y's?

Who started this horrid trend.

So cute, I have cousins on different sides of the family both are Huntah's and have never really thought that the spelling was weird.  I thought about this name if we ever have a boy but DH just laughed.

Hmm I wonder if Huntah is pronounced differently to Hunter?

Shakonce made me laugh. I read it as Shak Once.

I know a huntah.  she is so gorgeous girl with lovely and educated parents.  If i don't know them i might think it's a bit interesting name but since i know them really well.. it means nothing.

She defines the name not the name defines her.

I saw this name on fb the other day, a friend of a friend type thing, his sister was Ceyerra. I gather they are pronounced Jai and Sierra, but who knows. I was thinking Jai-eye, lol
