DD is almost 1 and I'm moving her into a new bedroom. We have just painted it with a pink feature wall and we have the basic furniture chest of drawers cot etc.

does anyone know any funky websites i can get ideas for decorating??
Or ideas of things i could put in there to make her room fun/pretty its a pretty big room with just her few pieces of furniture in there.

i have no idea what to do. i want it to be something that lasts and not have to do any major redecorating every year or so!

i have done a bit of a google image search for girls room but they all seem wayyyyy over the top for our budget and have massive rooms.

Highly recommend www.pinterest.com its my favourite website.
Just type in girls bedroom (or even nursery - many of the ideas would work for multiple ages) into the search engine and it will bring up a heap of them

Vinyl wall stickers are great, you can get them in babyish themes right up to modern grown up ones. They just peel off and don't damage the walls. My DD is 4 and we have a cherry blossom type tree with flowers drifting across the room and a few butteryflies. We also have her name in wooden letters which I ordered from the USA a few years back (when they were near impossible to buy from here) and painted them. I just added a quilt cover set I liked and got a rug from Deals Direct.

i have bought school packs and bag tags from www.brightstarkids.com.au.  They do wall stickers as well which definitely don't peel the paint off the wall if you need to move them.  They have butterfly, fairy, alphabet, tea party themes and more.  Or even a giant tree.  Have a look at their website, I am sure you will find something appropriate.  They also have a facebook page.

I agree vinyl stickers are nice. We did DD's room last year for her birthday and she picked a light blue colour. So she got new curtains and blinds as well and a new wardrobe.
On her wall above her bed is a sticker that says "Always kiss me goodnight" and the on another wall she has a Big letter J on there for her name. We just got them off ebay.

Can't wait for DD to move into her own room. He have an extension with a room for her, she is nearly two and I hope she is not much older so I can put together a little girl room. The wait for DH to finish it will kill me!

I decorated my dd's room using Kidsline berry garden.  Google it as there is a sale on it at the moment I think on Babyzone?  Her room is gorgeous, it's pinks and greens and really beautiful, I always get comments from people that see it

I decorated my DD's room with dot stickers from the Wall Sticker Company.

https://www.thewallstickercompany.com.au/pr.../polkadots.html

Not these ones exactly, but similar. I love them. The polka dots are also good because they're appropriate for a range of ages.

Also have a look around at Ikea's website for some great (and not too expensive) options.

I'd suggest finding a lovely quilt first then do the theme around that. Buy a single bed one and tuck it in across-ways while she's in the cot.

DD and her brother share a room with bunkbeds. She has butterflies on her quilt and flowery sheets with coloured bird wall stickers from Typo on the roof.

(DS has a lightening bolt quilt with star sheets and glow in the dark planets and stars on his wall.)
