No AF yet...... normally she shows up between 7am - 9am, and not a sign at all yet of AF. Not even any spotting at point of cervix. Clean as a whistle!

Plus, do you count bleeding after midday as day 1? Or do you count day 1 as the next day if you only start bleeding after midday? Because it's passed Midday now, so even if I start bleeding, do I count tomorrow as day 1? If that's the case, it means I have gained a day in my LP!

Could it be that I finally have a 10 day LP???  ohmy.gif

The first 2 months I charted, it was a 9 day LP, last month was an 8 day LP, and this month is looking like a 10day LP?

I always thought it was day 1 if it was before midday. So it looks like you gained an extra day (at least) - woohoo!

Hi everyone

Sorry this post is abit all about me..

Anyway came home early from work sick. Only to get bad news from DH. Got his sperm results back and its not good. Sperm count good, but motility and morphology not good. Have an appointment with fertiliy specialist tuesday but after reading alot of info it looks like we will be going straight to IVF or something similar.

But trying to look at the positives, at least we know now what the problem is and there is a solution. And his sperm count is way above normal so hopefully thats one good sign. Luckily we have private health insurance or the cost would send us broke! But I am jumping to conclusions about IVF, but I'm pretty sure this is what the doctor will recommend. I'II know more after seeing the doctor!

I'm excited for you that you've at least got an answer! IF it is IVF, then who knows, this time in 1 or 2 months, you could be pregnant original.gif

I agree with KatyDee Cotchi - I know it seems scary but at least you have found a reason and one that can be dealt with so this could be a good step forward to getting that BFP!! When I got diagnosed with PCOS and was told clomid/IVF was the best route for me, it was scary but exciting at the same time (if that makes sense!)

KateyDee - think your temps are looking good to be honest, still high above cover line and def a 10 day LP if AF hasnt arrived by now so all in all a successful cycle!! Keep us posted over the next few days.....

Alllovedup - yes it was me that had the 66 day cycle off BCP but I think my PCOS had something to do with that so fingers crossed yours comes much earlier!! and if youre BDing often theres no need to panic either way!! I only started charting and doing OPKs as I was waiting and waiting for my period and nothing arrived and started to worry what was going on

AFM - So today I had my first large bout of EWCM for this cycle !!(sorry way TMI I know!!) - sounds funny but I had kind of forgotton I still had this cycle to try before clomid starts!! Last cycle I ovulated about 3 or 4 days after getting EWCM so will let hubby know he is in for a busy weekend!!!!!

Either way I am feeling fairly positive now which is a vast improvement on how I have felt the last few months!!!

P.S. My Fertility specialist gave me some advice re TTC that I thought you guys might appreciate:
  • temp if it makes you feel better and more in control, but stop if it totally consumes you and stresses you out
  • BDing every other day works best but no harm in BDing lots nearer to ovulation
  • she didnt really think much of vitex but did recommend another vitamin I have never heard of for improving egg quality - will email it tomorrow when I can find the name of it (its in my notes at home)
Hope this is useful info!!

Hmm seems like i have a lot to learn about charts, opk's  and phases ohmy.gif . We DTD pretty frequently anyways, so i am hoping we don't have to be too worried about getting the timing right lol. My concern would be more about not realising i had finally gotten pregnant and had a wine or had the cheese your not meant to have etc unsure.gif

Lots to learn, but looking forward to the journey!

I'm the same - we BD nearly every day/every two days so I'm not too worried about missing my O time (although last cycle I went temporarily crazy when I O'd and tried to figure how many times we'd done it in a period of time and if that would be enough laughing2.gif).  As far as the baby taking in your alcohol/cheese, I read that babies don't take in what you eat or drink until 6 weeks.  COULD be wrong so don't quote me, but definitely google it.

Main thing is not to stress and just be patient..

Thanks Allie D for pointing me in the right direction!
Hi everyone,
This is all very new to me. DH and I are TTC for the first time, and I am currently going through my first 2WW - is it just me or do you find it difficult to think about anything else???
I am almost 35 (will be in June) and DH is 36 - be great to also hear from the girls who are starting the journey at an older age!

Exciting times isnt it!!

I'm in the older age group...i'm 36 (turning 37 in July) and my DH is turning 35 in 2 weeks time. We've been TTC for almost 6 months now with no luck.

Good luck with your journey...hopefully you get your BFP nice and quickly.

Oh well, at least I can count tomorrow as CD 1. Which means I have a 10 day LP this month, instead of 8 or 9 original.gif

Your right Fingers Crossed

I do feel exactly that way, its scary but at least I know there's an option (well I hope, haven;t spoken to doc yet). Its so expensive though, especially if you have to have a few goes. And more chance of having multiple babies. But looking forward to the next challenge of our journey.
Thank you for your positivity and to you too KateyDee. XXX

Thanks girls, you all have so much helpfull and intersting information to offer. This group does have a very supportive feel to it, its good to read what really happens when trying for a baby - i find it is something that is rarely spoken about between friends, so its hard to know what to expect. All of a sudden someone just announces they are pregnant, with no idea about the lead up to it, which is absolutely fine and completely understandable...it just means you dont learn about the process until you start trying yourself.

Huxley, The vitamin D link was interesting! Will definately keep that in mind!

Thanks for that huxley!!
I coincidentally had heaps of blood tests for all sorts of things while I was PG, and doc sad it was all clear except I was vitamin D deficient. She didnt mention any of that info though!
It makes me wonder about my m/c as the bleeding was very light so what it was saying about the thin lining makes sense!
I started taking it straight away as I used to take it so I already had some, but I am bad at remembering so have only been taking it every couple of days... I WILL REMEMBER NOW!!! hehe FX it helps this month!
FX for you too!

Jules1977 - welcome to your first 2WW! This seems to be a pretty crazy couple of weeks for everyone, so I hope you come through the end of it still in one piece! You'll be fine original.gif

AFM: Well, it's that time of month again, back to trying to forget about getting pregnant for a few weeks. It'll be another 3 weeks before I ovulate again, so I guess I'm at that long 'dead' few weeks again.

But that's ok. The renos on our house are starting next week, I'm onto my last few weeks of makeup school and I've got lots of new things organised for my salon. Hopefully my mind will be kept busy over the next 3 weeks original.gif

I'm still finding it hard to comprehand not having a 2012 baby. When we started trying in 2011, we were certain we'd be having a baby in 2012. It's crazy to think about.
