Go for it bababurns!

Had to tell a funny story, sorry if it is too graphic in advance... Anyway my DH has to have the sperm test tom and they told him he has to "get rid of the load" no more than five days before the test and two days before. Anyway I have my AF and its really heavy and I feel awful and bloated and well I dont feel like sex or anything else for that matter and I told DH that he would have to get rid of the load himself. Anyway he's a bit funny about talking about this and he's on holidays and I'm on days off so not much time "alone" for him and he's so shy about talking about it so I knew there would be issues. Anyway he kept going on and on about us having sex, and I just got frustrated and told him no.

Anyway last night I knew it was the last night he had too do it and he kept wanting sex and then I exploded and said your not taking this seriousily and told him he was selfish etc etc and then he blurted out "he got rid of the load this morning" when I got up early.

Felt so bad because I got up earlier and let the kitten on the bed who jumped all over him before he told me to remove the kitten because he was trying to sleep still....Umm.. Anyway hope this story isn't too graphic, but I think it is funny!!

Cotchi my man was funny about his SA too.  Just told me that we were BD on X date.  That night I had forgotten it was THE night and we were having a very normal boring Thur.  Then he must have suddenly remembered and starting trying his hardest to turn on the romance!  Too funny! Also - he wouldn't let me read any of the letters from the centre - perhaps they contained graphic details?!

Oh dear - my sis is really testing my patience!

Just on the phone with my dad and he mentions my sis is having another bub?!  Totally threw me - didn't know what to say so pretended I didn't know and changed the subject as soon as I could.  On Sat she said she wouldn't tell our parents 'til 20 weeks and then she tells my dad on Sun!  No doubt my mum will phone tomorrow wanting to chat all about it and give me another "you're getting older" lecture!

Seriously, anyone want to adopt a new sister?

Awww lovely sad.gif It's the little surprises like that, that really throw you, hey?

AFM, I got another slight temp rise this morning. So that's two in a row, after a dip. I'm hoping that means I've ovulated. Although last month, my rise went way up over all of my other temps that months. This month, my rise seems to be mid-range, and way below my coverline temp of last month. Can that be right? Can my post-O temps be this low?

#12 Three Of Hearts

Posted 11 April 2012 - 08:34 AM

KateyDee I could be wrong but I think your chart is looking good to show O on CD20.  I think you are just having a slow rise.  Last month I had a fallback rise so my temps dropped right below the cover-line again before going up.  Hopefully you get another higher temp tomorrow morning and it will all be confirmed original.gif
You take EPO don't you?  How much do you take?!

AFM - Got my charting certificate last night.  Woo hoo LOL!!  I wonder if I should add a copy to my resume?!?! roll2.gif

I take the 3 tablets a day. I've got Nature's Own 1000mg. Although I don't take it during my luteal phase.

Hi ladies, well i have been stalking the forums the past 6 weeks or so.  I am still unable to ttc until next month due to getting my second chicken pox jab last tuesday.

Not ttcing has been sooo relaxing although DP wants to BD at all the wrong times (or right times if I didn't have to wait).  So next month I will just have to pretend again and not let him know, he kinda gets all freaked out to perform when i tell him i am O'ing.  Spent easter with a 4 year old, 2 year old and newborn so am ultra clucky!  I see good things on the horizon, and feel positive about having a family soon.

Congrats to all the ladies with BFP, sending you sticky vibes.

Sorry to hear about the m/c's, i had a suspected chemical back in February.  Sending you healing hugs.

Out of interest, how many pills do most people take?  I feel like I swallow way too many.  Am on Elevit, Vitamin D (because doc said i was deficient), fish oil and evening primrose oil (just started EPO).  Then when i remember occasional vitamin C tablets, coz they are chewable like lollies.

Good luck to everyone still waiting to test.  I will continue to stalk and obsess with you.

Welcome back hope2012. Hope the next month of trying not to ttc go quickly for you.

I had a similar issue when starting (my rubella immunity level is considered “low” according to my pre ttc blood tests. So I went in and chatted to my Dr and he explained that a 38 was considered immunity and my level was 35, so unless I wanted to get the jab and wait 3 months to start ttc, he saw no reason for me not to wait until after I have a bub and get it then given my reasonably high “low” level immunity and the fact that most kids are immunised (boys and girls as apposed to just girls years ago) and he hadn’t seen a case in about 10 years, he thought I’d be fine.

Given that my Dr is a very old school, err on the side of caution kind of fellow, I thought if he thought waiting was ok for me, then that would be fine. That was about 4 months ago and given our lack of success, I suppose I could have gone ahead. But, hindsight right?

I’m taking a ton of ‘pills’ too.  I used to take more, but have tried to reduce as I feel like I am singlehandedly keeping Blackmores etc in business. Plus my DH was constantly telling me I was over dosing on vitamins, and like Sheldon said on and early episode of The Big Bang Theory, “ingredients for very expensive urine”!

    However, I take:

  • Zoloft (my depression/anxiety meds)
  • The Natures Own Pregnancy Platinum Multivitamin (Blackmores made me constipated blush.gif )
  • Vitamin B* (as a back up to my Zoloft, which I have reduced while ttc, and to assist with scalp health – I lose lots of hair with my anxiety)
I used to take:
  • Glucosamine (I have the joints of an 80 year old woman)
  • Fish Oil
On stand by:
  • Cranberry
  • Garlic and Horseradish – I get terrible sinus
*I’m thinking of changing to Evening Primrose Oil – it seems to have so many of the hair/skin benefits of the Vitamin B, but reading on EB and elsewhere, it seems it might help with CM (I am generally very dry), so definitely worth a shot.    Wow, sorry about the all about me novel above. Apparently I needed to get it out!

AF is due for me tomorrow, but she has been sending slight cramps through for 2 days to remind me she’s on her way. Usually she doesn’t give me so much warning, but if she is coming, I’d prefer she just arrive so I can get on with a new cycle.

Oh god this is driving me mad this month. This morning my temp went way up! My body is just teasing me now...
Im just waiting waiting waiting for AF to appear any day and bring me back down to earth. I just wish it'd happen sooner rather than later so i can get back to reality and stop day dreaming about imaginary symptoms. Ive still got back ache, front ache biggrin.gif above my pubic bone and tummy cramps, crazy dreams, snotty head, weeing constantly, feeling sicky on and off and starving -i ate my lunch by 10.30!!...but could just be AF rearing its ugly head.
Put me out of my misery!! Tomorrow is the earliest it would arrive and saturday the latest going on my usual cycles. I'll die by Saturday! sad.gif

Go for gold bubaburns!! biggrin.gif

Cotchi your story made me laugh! My DF gets frustrated sometimes when AF goes for longer than usual and I usually yell at him to 'do it himself' laughing2.gif

Sunshiney that sucks that you're going to get the 'mom lecture' sad.gif can you tell her you don't want to talk about it?

Oooh huxley123 I'm a little bit excited for you!!! biggrin.gif FX AF doesn't come!

hope2012, I take: I-Folic, Vitamin D (slightly deficient), Calcium and occassionally fish oil.  I used to take a multi-vitamin but my doctor's against them; plus it made my iron levels far too high.

Hi ladies

Sorry this post is all about me but I'm a bit upset and in shock at the moment and just need your thoughts if thats ok?

So I had my blood tests a week or two ago and my doctor told me (over the phone) that they were "fine". I just had my ultrasound and was told I had "polycystic ovaries" with about 15/16 cysts on each ovary - the doctor told me not to worry as plenty of women have this without even knowing and conceive fine but I might need to start on clomid etc....

Jeez I really didnt expect this as not overweight, look after myself etc etc but I suppose you can never tell whats going on internally!! I have a follow up doctors appointment tomorrow morning to find out more but for now it looks like I might have to go the AC route......

Sorry a bit choked up about it all!

Not much time to reply but couldn't read and not reply fingerscrossed..
Hun, im sorry you got those results, but please don't let it worry you too much! PCOS IS manageable and it is definitely possible to still get that BFP without doing AC.. It might just take a bit longer (but then again I don't have PCOS and am still trying after 2 years.. lol)
Also, do some research on the net.. I've read that after coming off BCP it is quite common to show signs of PCOS until the BCP is completely out of the system.. It really does cause havoc with our bodies as the remaining hormones break down and are absorbed at abnormal times in the cycle.
I know it's all a bit of a shock right now, but hun, seriously, relax, It will be okay!! Really, truly, dooley it will!!

Sending you big hugs!!

Thanks BIABP - will take a look into PCO after coming off BCP! Just to confirm though - my doctor doesnt think I have PCOS, just PCO if that makes sense? So my hormones are fine its just the irregular cycles and polycystic ovaries I have to deal with.......

Fingers Crossed, I'm sure you will find LOTS of ladies here to help you, as PCOS seems to be quite common. In fact, I have 3 close friends who all have it, and they all have children.

After trying for quite a while, once they found out that they actually had it, they went on clomid, and fell pregnant, problem solved original.gif

As with everything though, I'm sure it's not as easy for everyone. But there is hope, and from experience (listening to my friends stories), a lot of women fall pregnant quickly after diagnosis and treatment (clomid).

'Fingers Crossed!! - I'm so sorry you didn't get good news. But like the others have said, poly cystic ovaries are quite common, and may not be that serious. Try not to worry too much!

Sunshiney - that sucks about your mum. My parents give me a lecture every time I see them about how much they want grandchildren, and how wonderful children are and we are really missing out by not having any. If they brought it up in private, I might tell them we are trying, but they only ever mention it in front of a crowd and I don't feel comfortable with everyone knowing!

AFM - my temp dropped below the cover line this morning. I'm 12DPO. I am new to this charting business, but from what I understand, this means I am out for the month. I'm feeling pretty down about it, more than I have in previous months. For the first time, I am starting to wonder if there is something wrong with one of us, and I'm getting impatient!

I found out the other day that my friend's SIL is pregnant - she got married in January, started trying straight away, and was pregnant first cycle. I wanted to cry when I heard.

Fingers Crossed - I also have PCO (without the S) which was picked up on an ultrasound a few yrs ago. My GP told me at the time that since I had pretty regular cycles and none of the other PCOS symptoms that I wouldn't necessarily have any problems conceiving. Mind you, I have now had 9 unsuccessful months of ttc and my cycles have been all over the place for the last few months, so maybe things have changed for me. Hopefully you will be able to get a BFP without clomid. bbighug.gif
