i took to long to post so I should be
- last month was the first month we (I!) tried. DP has crohn's so going off his meds affects him a lot. His work is not very sympathetic either :-(
We were really lucky with DS, I was living away, DP stopped meds for 3 months, came back and bingo! Don't really know much about luteal phase and all that but good luck!
AFM- told DP we need to sit down and have a serious chat about life stuff/plan. He agreed which is great. He is so not a thinker or planner so I really feel happy that he's even agreed to do this.
DS and I are going away for part of the school holidays (I'm a teacher so I have the time off) and I suggested I give DP a list of stuff I'd like to discuss when we come back.
I feel a bit stupid actually to have not really done this prior, I mean I imagine most people do this sort of planning BEFORE they have children? So, what I want to discuss is when we will try full on for a baby, how much we can commit to saving for a home, when and how many days will I return to work (after number 2) and a few other things. Honestly, we've never done any long term plans. I have them all in my head but I think it's important we have shared plans as a couple.
Ok, enough blabbing on. Pretty sure I ovulate just before I go on holidays, maybe some goodbye BD will prove eventful!
Off to Dr's this arvo to get a checkup and see if I need anything before number 2.

CLM1982, had a look at your chart, i don't think that you have O yet.. keep BD every 2 days, every 3 days should be fine as well. Are you doing OPKs this month?
How long have you had a short luteal phase for? is that why you went on vitex? I was reading that stress can alter hormone levels, therefore your cycle. This month i think i am going to make myself a bit scarce from here... not that i want to, but i think that it will help me not obsess even more, and get myself so worked up! I am having day 3 bloods done tomorrow, and getting a referral for a fertility specialist. Once i have an appoinment, i think i will be able to relax even more knowing that soon an expert will be able to asses me and advice me on what we need to do. That way i won't use dr google to draw my own conclusions.. even though it has been helpful at times!! We had a miscarriage may last year, so i think gp will write us a referral as pretty much a year.
EMELSY, good idea about the list, will help you both work out where exactly you are. Don't stress too much about what order and timeframes as it doesn't always work out like that... we got engaged in Aug last year and decided to get married oct 2013 as we thought we would fall preg straight away after miscarriage and the baby would be over a year old so wouldn't be breastfeeding... and look at us now, not pregnant, and at the earliest baby would be due January 2013 and will only be 10 months old. So now, i don't care when the baby comes, i will get married pregnant, and i may even bring the date closer.
Well, i amgoing to say bye for now, going to avoid EB and dr google once i have made FS appointment. Want to try and relax and just not think about my cycle this month. i still ave to chart as i will need to take this to the FS, but that is as far as it will go.
good luck everyone, make April the best month yet!! I am really sad that I am doing this as the support here has been great.
Talk soon xx

Hey girls! Jess you can pop me down for testing if you like ... even though i'm not officially TTC this month - I did have a bleed on day 14 and a string of high temps so you never know ... AF should arrive today or tomorrow ... i'll test on the 4th if she doesn't arrive! Two BFNs last week so I have no hopes whatsoever and be kind of Pd if I am as I am now heart set on partying it up in Spain and France! haha x

sorry i haven't been active in here for the last few days - I just disappeared rudely, which was not nice given the support you all gave me. Like Andrea I am still waiting for a confirmation of pregnancy. 3 HPTs say yes, bloods seem ok - but after my m/c last year, and only minimal symptoms, doctor is being cautious and I have to do more bloods this week and maybe an u/s to be sure. So not fully graduated yet. Just on edge and very nervy - just waiting for cramping and bleeding. And I felt so positive about this month.
Bex bye! Good luck with the relaxing and staying away from EB. Hope it all helps. And you are not a failure. I have a friend who has been on IVF for 7 years now - these horrible things just happen to nice people. Fingers crossed the FS can provide some assistance.
Cherie enjoy your holiday! Sounds like a great time will be had.
Emelsy a holiday away with your DS sounds lovely. And the list sounds like a good idea. Sometimes it is nice just to write things down - makes thinks easier to sort out if you see them in black and white. Sorry to hear about your DH having crohns - it is not a pleasant thing to have - and going without meds must be difficult for him. Hopefully it happens first time around for you this time too.
Tem83 enjoy the BDing!
Duckolah good luck for your exam, hopefully the 2ww flies by.
clm1982 don't be sad about the gap - it will be like having a singleton all over again - rather than having to juggle a toddler and newborn you will be able to focus on your little bub. I am sure there are positives and negatives about any age gap.
bellefin hope all the BDing over the weekend worked for you. FX.
emiboo I so agree - knowing too much is torture. First time around we fell pregnant first month - I had no knowledge of OPKs, or half the abbreviations on here. I just did 1 HPT, didn't get any bloods taken and no scan or appointments until 9 weeks. So different now. Looking back it seems ignorance was bliss.
Anyway should head to bed now. Just wanted to pop in and say hi and wish you all baby dust.

Ok Im going to get some personals done, apologies in advance for anyone I miss!CheriDeMomie
Have put your testing date down
Not really sure which way to cross my fingers for you, but I guess in the end whatever happens is the way its meant to be. Spain and France will be absolutely amazing either way.bex18
you have definitely had an incredibly stressful weekend, and Im sorry that AF arrived in the end
Completely understand trying to take a step back from EB and Dr Google, and I hope your FS appointment is soon and goes well for you. I will leave you on the list, and hope that you are back in about 4 weeks to let us know about your BFP emelsy
I think your list and plans sound like a great idea, so that you and DP can both get on the same page and you both know where your headed. And I don't know that a lot of people do this sort of planning before kids etc., there has never been any real long term plans in this house either
We just go with it most of the time
Fingers crossed that the goodbye BDing does the trick!andrea
I reckon your still ok to post
Good luck for Thursday, but Im sure its all going to fine and boring from here anyway! I don't want to see you rejoining understand?! I would like to join you in the grads at some point instead!!;) clm1982
I think if your progesterone is shown to be low on the blood tests then surely the GP could do something for it asap, I don't think you would have to wait 12 months. If you have a proven issue there then they sort of have to try and correct it for you straight away I reckon.
Try not to worry too much about age gaps
I always wanted 4-5 years and at this point I will have 8 yrs at a minimum. I think there are advantages to the bigger gaps, its just hard when its not how you planned it.
Keep on BDing every 2 days and fingers crossed for a back to normal O time for you! Chin up, I hope that you don't have to worry about the age gap anyway and you get the BFP this time around duckolah
oh no not one of those mother effs exams!! Is that your last exam ever??!! At least its doing well at providing a 2WW and blood results distraction I suppose! Good luck for Wednesday, Im sure you will do much better than you think and then you can get back on 2WW obsessing like a normal person
Transfer should be just after Easter, still just hoping O isn't before Thursday cause I don't know what happens if we hit all these public holidays!Tem83
Did FF change your O dates to correspond with your OPK at all? I will put you down for testing on Saturday the 14th of April, because I don't know if you want me to put Friday the 13th emiboo
don't be scared to post without personals! Its ok! We don't mind we all understand that personals can be hard to do when your 'new' and when you don't have a lot of time! Bellefin
hope you had a good egg catching weekend! Will put you for testing on the 15th hope thats ok and fingers crossed a BFP comes up for you before you have to worry about IVF Pssst...
Wishing you all the best for the next 8 months, enjoy every minute and I will be spying on the grads group for all the updates! Hope to join you all in there soon!
Ok thats all the personals I have in me for now! Doing a group assignment at Uni and its due in tomorrow and just realised we have missed a whole part of the assignment! Gotta get it done!
Had blood test Saturday morning, nothing going on yet as expected, so blood test again tomorrow morning
Im guessing that I will have to go in again Thursday and then Saturday. Im hoping to avoid going in Wednesday just cause I can't be bothered lol. Still fingers crossed that O happens Thursday or Friday, gotta avoid Monday public holiday being day 5!
ETA - JuniorGandR
I hope you can get some further confirmation soon, it must be incredibly stressful for all of you that get the BFP after a m/c. Stay positive and try not to stress too much, we all have our fingers crossed that none of you have to make a return to this group
Will be watching you all in the grads!

i'm officially not allowed here anymore:
I was going to test on Wednesday (CD40; 24DPO) but my husband told me to test tonight because I kept asking him if he thought I was pregnant and what made him think that. I don't think he was willing to go through another two days of it!! I really was going on and on!! Anyway I'm glad he did as I have been spending the past few days just stressing and obsessing and looking at pregnancy symptoms online. It's like absolutely NOTHING could take my mind off it. Finally took the test and freaked out as I thought the control line was the test line, and was very disappointed at how faint the right line was at 22DPO. Did some more googling and was corrected so now am really happy and still can't believe it!!
sorry i never really got to get to know anyone here but i hope (in the nicest way) that i will not be back and i hope so much that you ladies will receive your bfps very soon.

Congratulations Emiboo !!!
Morning Jess !!!
AFM: Temp drop this morning, FF changed my O back to day 12 - hahaha ... it can't make it's mind up. AF should arrive today or tomorrow i'd say ...
Jess - I don't know how I feel anymore either - hahahahahaha

I know I haven't been around much as I've just been waiting for everything to finish up with the MC. I only have light brown spotting now (TMI). But today I'm having a scan to make sure it's complete, so if you lovely ladies can put positive vibes out there for me so I don't have to have surgery it would be much appreciated! I'm so nervous and really don't want surgery.
Posted 03 April 2012 - 07:39 AM
Goodness I really can't wait to see those lines again!
Posted 03 April 2012 - 08:58 AM
Congrats emiboo! 24dpo, bloody hell I'm only 7 and I can't wait to test
JuniorGandR, thanks for the well wishes, and all the best to you too. Hopefully the doc is being needlessly cautious and all will be well
Jess, last LAB exam ever, yay! Then 2 big ones at the end and I'm done! Cool, I wasn't sure if Thursday meant the one coming or the one gone, was worried I'd missed it! How annoying are these public holidays?
Hope you got your assignment taken care of. I'm doing a group assignment, our presentation is next week, nothing's been done and 2 of our group members have apparantly fallen off the face of the earth!
Bex, you will be missed but sounds like taking a break from here will be good for your brain. Hopefully a bit of a chillax will help things along for you
Got my final exam timetable, 59 days 'til I finish uni! Yaaaaay! Should get my blood results back soon, all within range I hope! I'm sure everything's fine, but there's always that 'what if?' hanging around 'til I know for sure
Right, back to my flashcards, can't WAIT 'til this exam is over!
Posted 03 April 2012 - 10:36 AM
Congrats emiboo, why did you take so long to test lol
AFM: Feeling sick today not sure if im comming down with some sort of bug again, i hope not especially when i havent O'd yet and need to BD.
If my normal cycle (before the vitex) is the same then i should see an OPK today or tomorrow. Line is still there on the OPK but not positive yet so i dunno. I hope its soon so fustrating.
Posted 03 April 2012 - 02:52 PM
Woohoo! no surgery! All completed and good to start trying again. My OB said the sooner the better, so as soon as we feel emotionally ready.
Posted 03 April 2012 - 03:16 PM
Oh V's mummy I missed your post entirely, so sorry! SO glad that you don't have to go through surgery
Posted 03 April 2012 - 03:20 PM
Thanks duck-o-lah! After all the bad news, it's so great to have some good news.
Posted 03 April 2012 - 07:32 PM
Wow a day of good news. Congratulations emiboo that is one strong line.
Great news V's Mummy. I hope you will be able to leave us again very soon.
Yay Duck the end is in sight!
CLM- I hope you feel better and O very soon.
Jess, I'm crossing everything for you that O holds off until Thursday, 2 days to go.
Cheri- Have you caved and tested yet?
So FF has adjusted my O day after the positive opk so I technically should test on Fri 13th if AF doesn't show but you were right Jess I think I'll be waiting until Sat to test. Am riding the wave of the terrible twos today. We went to the supermarket and into my classroom today with DS still dressed in his lightning McQueen PJs. Got some strange looks but after a 20 min tantrum B4 we left the house I just didn't have the time or energy to fight him. Needless to say he's wearing different PJs tonight. Bring on the Easter holidays.

Hi Everyone, I just wanted to pop in and say Hi!!!
I'm a single mother to a gorgeous DS who is 16 months old and I have been trying for 4 cycles to try for another little one.
I used a sperm donor for my DS and I am using the same donor to try for this pregnancy as well.
I am looking forward to talking to all of you lovely people and hopefully we all get some good news soon!
Posted 03 April 2012 - 11:09 PM
thanks for all the congratulations everyone!
i tested so late because i am ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIED of getting a negative test result. it sounds crazy but last time (with my DS), i also waited until CD40 (18DPO). so far i have only ever taken two HPTs because i always always wait so very long. this wait was definitely the hardest wait ever, but oh-so-worth-it!!
little one's due date is dec 1 so far, but i suspect it will change when i get my blood test results back, as i think that due date is based on a 28-day cycle, whereas mine is closer to 34.

Congrats Emiboo!!! Lots of Dec babues coming up!
did it take long to fall pregnant with no.1 ?
jess- bring on OVULATION!!!! bet it can't come soon enough. Have you been having scans and blood tests? I think I'm looking forward to this to see what my cycle actually does, naturally. Will be keen to see if I do infact ovulate when I think I do iykwim. I have my scan and bloods on Friday, CD9.
nurserobin- bding every 2nd day is enough so it will do the trick if it's meant to be.
Tem83- oh yes I do remember the terrible 2's, but actually 3 was worse for us, and 4 is not much better!! sorry
V'smummy- glad to hear everything is going OK for you and no surgery.
clm- how are you feeling today? not sick I hope?
duck- yay for the end of Uni being in sight!!! fingers crossed all bloods will be good too. what did they test for?
AFM not much really. Just waiting for blood test on Friday then probably more every few days until they detect ovulation. Feeling a bit scared that the one lone emby won't even make it through the thawing process
but what nothing I can do so trying to not over think things. Better do some work...
