Thanks to my synarel induced insomnia....the only reason I am reading EB at 5:30am. Lol
Posted 01 April 2012 - 06:36 AM
Heath - great point about the time change. While I'm not stimmimg at the moment I am taking Clexane injections every day so I'll probably move it by an hour. However saying that, I don't think it would be too bad to keep the same time - maybe gradually change it?

Can I go for ... aluminium?
Good morning all!
I'm up because I'm still working... 33 hours to go...
Heath2b, I gave last night's injections an hour early. Unintentionally but I hope it works out well.
Finally getting the hang of mixing powder for injection.
US and bloods tomorrow. I am praying and hoping that there has been heaps of quality follicle growth and recruitment.
Posted 01 April 2012 - 01:00 PM
Good luck tomorrow PCM!! Hope you get lots of good size follies to put your mind at ease
Oh and I know what you mean about mixing the Pregnyl - first time I did it this cycle, I opened the liquid one the wrong way and smashed the whole thing into little pieces! Wasn't a great start!!
Posted 01 April 2012 - 01:01 PM
...and PCM what are you doing working for 33 hours??? Wow!!!
Posted 01 April 2012 - 01:17 PM
Hey girls! Well the count down is on for the last follicle scan! Fingers crossed everthing looks great and I can trigger tomorrow night!
Cordyline Hope you can get some sleep tonight! Got to love Synarel side effects!
Harmony ha ha ha so something I would do. I am going stick with the 12 hours between synarel it says I have to do it "strictly" at the same time lol wouldn't want to get in trouble! moving to 8 won't really effect me much and I am hoping I will only have today and tomorrow til I trigger! If I was going for longer I may have slowly moved it back to 9 because doing the injections when my 5 year old is in bed works best for us as a family I think in the long run though it wouldn't really make any difference for the injection... my first injection was at noon at my appointment and I was allowed to move my next one to a time that best suit me so I don't really think there would be a problem!
Porkchop :rofl2: hooray for Aluminium! love it! I really don't think it matters to much for the injection... I think its more the synarel that needs to be done every 12 hours to prevent that LH surge so I am sure your fine!! I don't have to mix injections.... i don't know how you do it but I am sure given that the synarel and turned my brain into mush that I wouldn't have the mental capacity to do anything more complicated than the dial and stab that I am currently doing! I have everything crossed for you tomorrow and hope that you have some wonderful follies developing!!!
Soooo... my appointment is at 11:40 tomorrow, I will let you all know how I go!!! Hoping every one else is well!

Heath2b - best of luck! I am sure it will all be fabulous news all round.
*Harmony* - it's crazy town right now. I'm on call but had to go in for 6 hours today then on from home tonight and finish work usual time around 5 tomorrow. Somehow need to swing a 0730 blood test and 0800 US in tomorrow as well. With being up and about all day, I haven't really felt the cramps and bloating in my tummy as much today.
At least I haven't forgotten any injections yet.
The good thing is that I haven't had any time to Dr Google today.
Posted 02 April 2012 - 10:27 AM
Good luck today Claire (Heath2b)!! Hope you get some great results and that you're all good to Trigger tonight!
Hope it all went well at your BT and US this morning PCM and glad that the cramping and bloating is easing up a bit
Posted 02 April 2012 - 03:35 PM
It's game on.
After a day of fear that my US was bad and being under the influence of not much sleep, I have a date for EPU. This Wednesday.
3 good sized follicles. Not huge but it only takes one and I'm hoping they're all quality.
Even better news? Night off the injections tomorrow.
Posted 02 April 2012 - 04:17 PM
Porkchop Hooray! We are on the same time table!!! way to go follies!!
Harmony Thank you so much for the gl! It must of worked because I am trigger TONIGHT!
ok so E2 levels went from 3131 on day 8 of stims to 11,600 on day 11 Follicle growth is as follows.
Right Ovary: (all in mm) 23, 20, 17,17,15,15,12,11,10,10 then 6 smaller ones...
Left Ovary: 18,17,17,16,14,13,12 then 3 smaller ones. triggering tonight at 9pm for a 9am Wednesday retrieval! OMG girls I can't believe I am at this stage! Felt like it was taking forever to get here...!! Still hoping for 9 great mature "easter eggs!" but if the rate of growth continues we may have a few more! just did my last Puregon injection... bring on 9 tonight! No more Synarel either and just like porkchop a shot free day tomorrow which is AWESOME! ♥
Hoping everyone else is doing well!!! Where is everyone at in their cycles??? Anyone else stiming or getting ready to!?
Posted 02 April 2012 - 07:59 PM
I hope that everyone is doing well, wherever you are each up to in your cycles or waits.
So, I am officially freaking out. AF came today, 3 days early. This has never happened in my life. I have never been early. This means after being delayed 3 times for silly things, I am officially about to commence my first cycle! I am all of a sudden so nervous and completely freaking out! Obviously looking forward to everything as well. Wow.
So I think I am supposed to start jabbing on Wednesday. Anyone else on a similar time frame to me. I'll be doing ICSI hopefully with DP sperm but if not we have our donor backup ready.
Posted 02 April 2012 - 09:37 PM
luluc32 how exciting your about to get started!! It is nerve racking but you will be surprised at just how well you do...!!! Wishing you all the best for Wednesday..... and sending you tones of follicle growing dust xoxoxo
porkchop how did you go with your trigger? the count down is on!
Posted 03 April 2012 - 08:23 AM
PCM and Health2b!!! So glad to hear all went well with your scans and bloods, and you're all set for tomorrow! Enjoy the day off your meds today - it feels so weird not doing anything after jabbing/sniffing for so long! Hoping you both get loads of lovely mature eggs tomorrow.
Luluc32 sounds like you're all set to go! How exciting! Good luck with your first jab tomorrow and hope this cycle works out well for you
AFM.....So we didn't getting any frosties this cycle like we thought we would So now all our hopes are in this little one. I'm finding I'm not as optimistic as I was last week - because we got no frosties I feel like it was a "bad batch" and none of them will make it. I don't know - I wish I could stay positive but it's so tough!! If anyone knows of success after a 5 day transfer with no frosties let me know - I need a confidence boost today!
Posted 03 April 2012 - 08:25 AM
*Harmony* - hang in there and trust in the process. Your best embie has been chosen....
Luluc32 - so excited for you and wishing you the very best.
Heath2b - I'm done. So tired today. Been a busy weekend with work and I nearly slept through trigger shot time, 10.30pm. Enjoy No Needle Tuesday!
Posted 03 April 2012 - 09:54 AM
Porkchop - well done and so excited for you....fingers x'd for the EPU
Heath - well done also and I love the Easter Eggs.....it made me giggle....hope you get the best of Easter Eggs.
LuLuc - good luck with your first cycle, I can imagine what you are feeling....best of luck.
Harmony - I can't answer your question but sending heaps of positive energy, vibes, prayers your way. Like Porkchop said, the best has been chosen.
AFM: Well after a horrendous week, not sure if I told you girls but my mother was diagnosed with Breast Cancer last week and it has been a very emotional time, I was going to cancel the IVF but she said for me to continue, as it is might be the only thing to keep her going, and while trying to make up my mind, my police check arrived in the mail yesterday, so now just waiting for hubbies. Very excited......
Posted 03 April 2012 - 01:07 PM
Harmony I have 2 friends who have fallen pregnant on their cycles without any frozen embabies so please don't stress!! Hold onto that hope they put your best one back and he or she is probably getting all comfy in there!!! I am enjoying today... and your right it is weird not having to do anything today really so nervous about tomorrow!
porkchop that's so funny I am super tired also... but can't sleep I am so nervous about tomorrow. Loving no needle Tuesday!! Hope you are 2!
Mish*J I am so sorry about your mother! My thoughts are with you and your family!! Thank you for the good luck, I am so nervous! That's awesome that your check came back hoping hubbies is not far behind!! <3
Ahhh so nervous about tomorrow!!!
Posted 03 April 2012 - 02:08 PM
Mish*J - so sorry to hear about your mum - my thoughts are with you. best of luck for your cycle too.
*Harmony* - sorry to hear about no frosties but fingers crossed for your cycle and hopefully you won't need any!
porkchop's mama and Heath2baBigBrother good luck for EPU tomorrow, will be thinking of you both!
luluc32 - I will probably be on a similar time frame to you - AF should arrive over the next few days and I'll start jabbing then.
Hi to anyone I've missed, hope you are all well and gearing up for a nice relaxing Easter
Posted 03 April 2012 - 10:00 PM
Wondering if I can pop back into this group? I was here last October (first IVF stim, BFN & no frosties) & again in January (another stim, BFN & 4 frosties).
We are set into a medicated FET cycle at the moment, I am only day 2 & thought I'd probably have to wait re the clinics cycle times but no I was spot on, so scan Friday week & fingers crossed for my transfer the week after.
It's such a different feeling going into it without a stim cycle, it's weird. I hope this puts me in a better place as I was so stressed and anxious last time it was doing my head in.
I haven't time to go through the personals & as per above I've been out of touch with the forums since January.
Hope everyone is tracking well & thinking of you all, I'll be back for personals & to let you know how I go.
Thinking of you all

Welcome back GEH, I am also doing a medicated FET and have my scan on Friday 13th (eerie music). Actually I am not superstitious but still thought hmmm...hoping for transfer on 19th April. What meds do you take. my medicated cycles seem to be longer with pill, synarel, progynova and then crinone.
PCM, Heath2b hope your EPUs went well
mishJ - sorry about your mum. Good on her for encouraging you to continue on this cycle.
AFM - I just started watching a reality show, Bill and Giuliana (E news reporter and the story of her and her new husband). Not my kind of reality show normally, but after starting the show they are both dealing with infertility, IVF, miscarriage and then to top it off Giuliana was diagnosed with breast cancer and had a double masectomy last year. So might be interesting. only watched the first episode which is them getting engaged.

PCM thanks, I know I do need to just trust the process. Our embryologist is fantastic and has high hopes for this one emby so I'm trying to relax and take it day by day! You must be so excited for today!! Sending you lots of luck that they get lots of beautiful eggs!
Health2b I love hearing success stories and knowing people have succeeded without frosties made me feel heaps better, thanks!!! Good luck with EPU today and hope the Easter bunny brings you loads of lovely mature eggs too!!
Mish so sorry to hear your Mum is not well. Really hope that this cycle is the one for you and thanks for all your positive vibes, it must have reached me because I feel heaps better today!
Thanks WTP***. Hope AF arrives quickly so you can get started with your jabbing!
Hi GEH and welcome back! Wishing you lots of luck with your FET cycle!!
AFM, I'm still just waiting and trying to stay positive (eating my chocolate hot cross bun is certainly helping!!). I'm 4dp5dt today and I think it's still too early for symptoms - I hope so because apart from some cramps I'm not feeling any different!
Posted 04 April 2012 - 08:09 AM
Cordyline, yeah the Guiliana and Bill story is so sad! I've been watching for a couple of years and she's such an inspiration, always staying positive despite all the terrible things that life has thrown at her.
Posted 04 April 2012 - 09:54 AM
Jumping in to say Good Luck today Porkchop & Heath......
Harmony, so glad you are feeling better.
And thank you everyone for your kind words. Next week is biopsy for Mum with the results Friday week. So at the moment I am just looking forward to a break over Easter. Still waiting for DHs Police Check but feel better knowing mine is here. His shouldn't be much longer. xoxoxo

Cordyline - I have been watching Guiliana & Bill since the very begining. The new series actually started last night in the US. This one deals with her starting IVF 3, then the breast cancer & the treatment etc and from what I can make out from interviews they are back doing IVF again.
Welcome back GEH.
Well FET #2 failed as well. I have a feeling we have implantation issues. Both of my FET cycles I have had really bad back pain & cramping as well as a sore throat on dpo 7 & 8 and then it has taken to 16 dpo for AF to show up with no spotting at all. I thought first FET it was due to the extra progesterone and then I thought maybe for this one it was due to have the Lap but considering they have both been the same....
We are off to a new clinic on Wednesday next week. Appt was originally for the 2nd May but I rang up and got myself on a cancellation list last Thursday and on Monday they called with a new appt time. Last Thursday the new FS overheard my conversation with the admin girl and asked her what it was about. She gave her the history etc and the dr asked that we do all our testing that she normally does after the first appt before the appt. So today both DH and I have had our bloods & urine taken. He had to do a new SA but this one also has a tunney assay which I think my clinic is the only one in NSW that does this. So $490 later.....at least $190 of that is claimable and being at the safety net hopefully we will get a fair bit back.
So no FET for us this month. New clinic will accept the frosties. I am guessing depending on what she says next week I would actually like to do a fresh cycle. That means we will be doing another cycle in May which is what we said we would do anyway. We will still try naturally this month anyway as I will be taking the Femara again so we will wait and see.
