I would play the piano - I love the sound of the piano - so relaxing when you want it to be and so upbeat and fun when you want it to be.  Unfortunatley I can't even read music.

Penny whistle! They sound so sweet and are small enough to take anywhere! Unfortunately, school days playing recorder have turned most people off any whistles.

I'd love to play the bagpipes. It's the only instrument I can think of that might drown out the noise of the kids biggrin.gif

Violin as I love the sound when it's played properly. I tried to learn for a few months when I was young but gave it up to learn piano and flute instead.

I believe the cost of a harp is equal to purchasing a house,
so my wish; I would love the talent to play the harp.

Voice. I grew up playing piano and swore my children would play something more portable. A voice is the ultimate portable instrument!

The guitar as it is light enough to carry and you can play just about any music.  It would be great to have family nights in together strumming songs on the guitar and singing along.
