Hi ladies,

Just after your personal opinion, any comments are welcome.

What do you think of the name 'Saffron' for a baby girl? It is the name of a flower in the crocus family, and its stamens are edible, in fact the most expensive spice in the world. We thought if we have a girl, I would like to call her that.

Thanks!

My friend has a daughter named Saffron! Her other two children have very 'out there' names too!

I love it original.gif

I love it. My DD is called Saffron. I didn't choose it to be different, in fact I didn't pick it, my parents did. When we heard the name, her father and I knew that this was THE name. The only other name I wanted to use was Ondine.

It's okay.

Not my most favourite, but I don't mind it.

Although I do think of Saffron Burrows, who I can't stand as an actress, and who has put me off two TV series so far...

Saffron is a name I like, although wouldnt quite use it myself.

Perfectly good name though and I dont think the Ab fab connection is strong enough to be a problem - or perhaps I just dont watch much tellie, doesnt seem a problem to me anyway. original.gif

I'm reminded of Ab Fab - "Saffy", "Sweety" and "Bolly" will never sound the same again...

Having said that, I think it's a beautiful name original.gif
