I just had to say oh wow!  It's amazing seeing everyone having their scans. It makes it more real. This is our first and my scan is on tues 11th at the 12 wk mark (due 23rd Oct). Only 3 more sleeps. I felt like the first few weeks went so slow, but now, we're all heading into the second trimester almost...

I can't wait to see bean, that he/she is really there. I have had no symptoms at all really except for a bit (maybe a lot) of tiredness in the last week and frequent toilet trips.. And also I now have a bump appearing, (which then seemed to disappear but I'm putting that down to exhaustion and weight loss), but it's reappeared now...

me too waiting for my 12 week us on Friday @ 11:30.
We're been picking up a few bits and for bubs as time goes on just have a handful of things atm but laybying things here and there as I get other things for my other 3 kidletts

So exciting hearing about everyone's scans and results. I'm anxious about ours as we are over 35s and know the age related risks are high. Hearing all the great news makes me more optimistic so thanks everyone for sharing. We're not due til 26 Oct so scan is on 17 April (the earliest date they would book me in) and it can't come soon enough! Aside from hopefully seeing a healthy baby it will be a relief to stop being anxious about family and work guessing my belly is not just due to too many hot cross buns!Hope everyone had a lovely Easter and got to share some good times with family and friends.

Im Emily and in due with baby number 2 on the 25th October. I have a little boy who is 14months and is keeping me very busy. Ive only just started reading all the posts so I have a fair bit of catching up to do. I see you have a facebook group, Im on facebook more often than this site so how do I become a member of the group?

Hi everyone,

Wow, how exciting to see people's scans!

Emyh - we're due on the same date biggrin.gif. This is my second as well.

Bundlesof love - I share your anxiety as I'm 36 and had a high risk scan in my first pregnancy. Staying positive though, my scan is on the 18th (the only date I could get after I had to cancel my other appointment). Wish I was having the scan this week as I'll hit the 12 week mark on Thursday.

I just told my boss as I'm applying for a promotion and thought it would be better out in the open now than spring it on them if I did get the job. My family already know, but the ILs and all of our friends don't know yet and we aren't about to tell until after the scan.

There is a fantastic book called 'There is a house in Mummy's Tummy'. We waited until about 6mths when our DD asked why I was getting fat. She was 2 at the time and had the attention span of a gnat. It was a long wait for her.

I haven't told my son yet (he's close to 4 y.o.) but I think he's twigged something is different. He has certainly noticed that I don't eat sushi anymore and that I've been sick and exhausted sad.gif. Will tell him next week I think, when I have a little picture to show him!

Never thought in a million years I would be posting in a due in group thread but here I am, I'm 12 weeks pregnant with my third baby, due on 25th October, a lovely little 'suprise' after DH and I had well and truly closed the books on having any more. I literally cannot believe I'm even typing this, luckily we have our NT scan in about a week so I can finally, really let it sink in! Though I've been feeling like rubbish so I know theres something going on in there.

Hopefully some of us are coming to the end of the tiredness and nausea now,we haven't told our DD's aged 4 and 6 yet so we have an exciting week coming up, and I can finally tell them why Mummy has been so horrible lately! laughing2.gif

Hi girls, I'd love to join this group too. I'm expecting our 6th baby in mid October. This pregnancy has come as a complete shock to us also,as we thought that was all behind us, and at 44 I feel very old to be planning for another babe! Having said that, I am definitely warming to the idea, and just praying that the Combined NT will be ok. I'm 12 weeks, and have told only my sister our news; waiting for some positive results. My friends are finished having their babies,so this pregnancy could be a little lonely..It's great to read other people's thoughts and plans.

My other pregnancies  and labours were very straightforward, so I'm really hoping all will go smoothly.

Welcome Krystabelle01 and Oopsybaby and congratulations on your pregnancy.

I have an appointment with my doc this afternoon to request a full blood screen (have my first hospital appointment next week and they've requested this). Going to ask if I can have a referral for another scan as the place is onsite and feeling a bit anxious at the moment. I had a miscarriage last year and I'm expecting twins so just want some peace of mind.

I have my NT blood and scan next week (with results the following week), going to see if I can move it earlier. Also have 2 hospital appointments - one booking in clinic and one OB clinic.

4 friends have announced their pregnancies this week, all due in October which is exciting!

Im due 4th oct with number 1 and am sydney based. How are you feeling? Are you super tired and having mood swings??? My morning sickness dissapeared a week ago but was replaced with tiredness and sudden feelings of crankiness or sookiness for no reason for a few hours then back to normal lol  what a basket case!!!

Where in syd are you based?

I feel okay - I haven't had any morning sickness so far. I am the same, I felt extremely excited to begin with and now I feel quite emotional on and off about the pregnancy - like we're really alone in our situation as most of my friends aren't pregnant right now. I'm putting it down to all the hormones biggrin.gif
I'm living in Lidcombe and work in the City - how about you?

I live in Abbotsford and am not working, sold my business last year and started stydying this year at Ultimo. Although ill now be deferring semester 2! original.gif

My friends have either had their kids or are not interested in kids. Is this your first too? Which hospital are you giving birth at??

We have just moved from Abbotsford!!! We were living there until February biggrin.gif

I'm booked into RPA at the moment, but my obs also practices at Prince of Wales, Randwick. I'm undecided whether to go there or stay with RPA. What about you? Yes, it's my first too.
