Gold!!!

Hi everyone,
A bit rude of me really as I havent posted for so long and then come in and claim the gold he he!!
I have been keeping up to date reading but DH has been home for the last 4 weeks so have been a bit busy to go online much.
Crossing my fingers for those with EPS symptoms.  Sorry to hear AF has arrived hooloovoo. Had to laugh about the hot water bottle in this weather (I am from perth too) What is with this heat wave again this week?  I have some new plants in our garden so hope they will be ok!
AFM - I think that AF will be on her way in a few days, am getting all the usual pre AF signs I get.
On a separate note, is anyone here gluten intolerant?  I have struggled with bloating and upset stomach for a long time eating bread, pasta etc and decided finally to try going gluten free - 1 week and I cannot believe the difference but it is quite hard, so many things I cant eat.  Anyone have any breakfast ideas other than fruit?
Hope you all have a great day x x
Ok, it took me too long to post ... I will take silver!!

My mum has coeliac disease and for breaky she either has gluten free bread (potato bread) with mighty mite (GF Vegemite substitute) or she buys Freedom Foods Gluten Free Muesli.  Sometimes she has poached eggs on Corn Thins!

Hope that helps!

AllieD that is funny...seems we're always on the lookout for EPS. So have you tested again...stalking ph34r.gif ???

Fingers Crossed and KateyDee i really hope you both O very soon. KateyDee sounds like a good sign that you're getting all these signs earlier than normal. Give it a few months and hopefully your LP will be longer. fx!

Hooloovoo so sorry to hear AF arrived. hugs!

AFM AF arrived properly early this morning so onto cycle number 5. Katie can you please move me on the list...taa! Only 2 months left for it to happen before i go see the doc and ask for some test as i'm 36 so feel like time is running out! It's a bit hard because DF just doesnt really understand the disapointment each month when AF arrives. He tells me not to be too sad cause we have a good life. We do have a good life and i am very happy but it's still hard when AF arrives each month. I dont think i'm quite to the point of wishing away time to get to the next O or testing time but it's such a hard road to travel. I dont really need to explain to you all...i'm sure you all feel exactly the same way.

I told him we need to get a new puppy every 6 months or so if we cant have a baby so we have a little one around the house...can you imagine having so many dogs in the back yard lol. He just laughed!

My co-workers wife had her baby on Tuesday night. They had a little girl. Feels really hard to be happy for them right now with AF having just arrived...just had to pick out a gift and flowers for them from work so feeling very sorry for myself right now. cry1.gif

eta - On a positive note i now know i have a 13-14 day LP as i got a +OPK on the 22nd Feb. This is good yeh??

How can i get on the 2ww list? my test date will be 16th/17th March ...not that I have high hopes as the only opportunity we got to BD was supposedly 2 dpo sad.gif

Ive been meaning to post some replies over the past few days but ive had such a stressful time at work and ive ended up off sick. I refuse to put my health and possibilities of concieving at risk due to idiots who seem to want to make other peoples life at work a misery. sad.gif gggggrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Im not exactly full of happy thoughts and encouragment at the moment sorry. I do wish everyone the best and Im going to take some of my own advice and drink camomile and try not to worry. Easier said than done!

FX for everyone testing soon.

Ive got my ultrasound and blood results over the next few days. I hope all will be ok but anything it highlights or advice i get ill share with you all just incase it helps original.gif

Chilli dog im 33 and have already started tests and ive never had any issues with my AF etc (althought the pill for 12 yrs may have masked any problems!) Ive been TTC for 6 months.  I also see a naturopath. I dont think it would be too early for you to ask your doc to start sussing things out and hopefully ruling any problems out. My doctor is great and I know not everyone has one that is so supportive but its worth a shot?

p.s

what the hell is going on with my luteal phase on my chart...it looks like bloody dinosaur teeth!! ??? My chart has never looked like this before...wonder if it could be stress related? sad.gif

For those you are interested... this is what my OPK's are doing.

I normally do 3 or so a day, and the ones I have displayed here are the darkest for that paticular day. I thought after CD 10, I would have had a nice positive one, but that didn't seem to happen.

I'm in CD 15 now, with no sign of darkening up, so I don't think I'll be ovulating before my normal CD 19 sad.gif

Huxley
Dinosour teeth, I have those this month too, but hopefully I have hit a molar now.

Katy D  Looks like they are getting slightly darker to me, its a different brand than I use, but my -ves are almost invisible,  I guess everyone is different

AFM I am home "sick" today,  honseslty I could have dragged myself in but the weather was so horrible the decision wasn't difficult.  i am 5DPO and temp has only just had a genuine rise, last month was a slow too, anyone else had this?  would a slow temp rise mean that the emby is less likey to be "supported"?  My BBT are also low 36.1-36.2 and only rise to about 36.5 5-6 days post O

KateyDee are you sure you're not POAS too many times a day to pick up your + OPK?  I read that you should not go to the loo for at least 4 hours before doing one, and to limit how much you drink the days that you do them.

Chillidog Still nothing!

Yeah, I try to hold my pee for as long as I can before I do an OPK. So it's usually at least 4 hours between them.

I got very strong positives last month and the month before, and I haven't changed anything (pee wise).

I usually do one at 10am (this is when I got last month's positives), another around 3pm, and another before I go to bed at 10pm (and I'm normally busting by that time!)

Hmmm I don't know then!  I only get faint lines for about 2 days before getting a + then it fades away again, you've been getting faint lines for a week now!  FX that hopefully it's not too much longer.

Afternoon Ladies..10DPO and I am out again for this month sad.gif. Picked up some B6 on the way home. See how that goes this time. sad.gif Going to have a wine tonight I think....

#16 Fingers Crossed!!

Katey_Dee - I wouldnt worry too much if you do O at CD19 this month as your LP might still be longer due to the vitex and B6 - you will only know if it has helped at the end of your cycle so try not to worry

I havent had much good experience with OPKs either - I have had fairly dark lines for a while now (and lots of ovulation pain, sore boobs, EWCM etc) but no temp rise and then today the OPK line is very faint so who knows what this means!!! I am on CD22 so hopefully that was my surge and I will see a temp rise in the next couple of days but who knows!!!

Huxley ask and you shall receive lol. Katie is the master of the list and she holds all the power lol.

It's good that you're seeing someone already...i think i will still give myself until June and see what happens. Plus i dont have a regular doctor right now as my doc went on maternity leave a few weeks ago. I need to find someone new and i find it hard to find a doctor who i connect with and feel open to talking with. So the search begins very soon! It's only another 2 months...who knows what can happen in 2 months and it gives me the time to find the right person to be in my corner!

I've never had any issues with AF either and have now been off the pill for probably 4 years so that shouldnt be making a difference now. It also seems my LP is a good length so that too can be ruled out. I guess the whole 'fertility decreasing with age' is my biggest problem.

I do need to lose a few kgs so that is something i'm working on! I'm fairly healthy on the eating front just need to learn to eat a little less. I dont drink much...maybe 2-3 drinks each month. Thats not just because i'm TTC but i'm just not a big drinker. I also have never smoked so all up reasonably healthy.

yodie, i don't say this too often, but yay for AF, wishing you a nice 28-30 day cycle this month!

oh annabee, i'm so sorry about your dps work situation, horrible how so many people are forced to be contractors these days and the minimal work security that entails. will he look for something other than the QR security?

kateydee, i reckon that's a super question, not dumb at all, and i honestly don't know the answer, but i woudn't stress too much about removing cm from your vagina, i'm sure it's just a drop in the ocean (so to speak)

allie-d sorry about the bfn, but it sure ain't over til af turns up, and those nausea symptoms & toast change of taste thing sound rather promising

hooloovoo, sorry about evil af. treat yourself to some yummy chocolate, and maybe a hot chocolate/hot milo? and I think kateydee's idea of a scrubs or other funny tv show marathon is a good one.

chillidog, sorry about AF and your smashed vase, would the ebay seller give you a discount on the next one, given their packaging wasn't sufficient in the end?? i'd reckon you'd have more chance with them than with aust post. glad that spotting was only that. could be an eps?  how did you end up going with your dress hunting? yay for 13 day LP, that sounds good to me!

fingers crossed, as hard as it is, try and keep your chin up and force that man to keep on bd-ing...

babydreaming, i'm not gluten intolerant, but i do have breakfast ideas - porridge (yum) and also, according to my reading, a fertility superfood. and quinoa, which can apparently be cooked like porridge. i love my porridge with sultanas, brown sugar and LSA (apparently another fertility superfood).

CPM - those are some nice BD timing on your chart! as for the temp, i'm not sure whether its better to have a sharp rise in temps than what you're getting... fingers crossed that a rise is a rise

louise how do you know you're out at 10dpo? has evil af made an appearance?

afm - after months and months (since October) of procrastinating, i went and got the first of 3 tests the fertility specialist ordered us to have done. this was a blood test, testing for progesterone amongst lots and lots of other things, normally done on CD 21, but for me CD18 as i have such a short cycle. next I have to get a fancy pants ultrasound, she said something about a "levorist study" does anyone know anything about that, I can't remember if I'm supposed to do that on a specific cycle day ( i think it was just the blood test) and the hardest of all dh has to have his soldiers tested. the tricky part about that is getting the sample to the lab within 30 mins, given we live  almost that far from a place where we can drop the sample but the sample then has to be couriered to the lab. the woman who did my blood test yesterday suggested he create the sample in the car - eeks! i will have to call the company, maybe they have a room where he can do it. i am not jealous of this part of the "journey"! also surprised to find that he's not allowed to use lube!

Hi Joannasweet...Evil AF pain and spotting is here (sorry TMI)...I hope the tests you are taking give you some answers.

Katydee: I think your OPK's are getting slightly darker. FX for a positive in the next few days! I really hope the Vitamin B is working for you. I think that it is the CM higher up that is responsible to supporting sperm life. This is completely my own explanation...but the sperm would start their journey north from same height or higher than where you remove CM to check its consistency? I think they need support while they are waiting in the Fallopian tubes for the egg? I hope this doesn't only make sense in my head...

hooloovoo: Sorry about AF sad.gif I hope you are having a relaxing night with your man.

#20 *Katey*

Posted 08 March 2012 - 08:01 PM

Ladies, that makes complete sense about the sperm living in the higher CM, rather than the CM in the vagina itself.

I had suspected that, but just wanted to make sure. I just know everytime I checked my CM, and brought a little bit out on my finger, I thought 'Oh no, should I put it back in! What if the sperm needs that!'

And that's me out!  Out getting dinner, went to the rest room and hey presto AF is here!

I wouldn't have even thought twice about it if it hadn't been for the nausea and the strange tasting toast this morning!  Obviously I was just feeling unwell.

Well I'm going to enjoy my weekend with a glass of champas and some brie and blue cheese!  Yummo!!!  Then i'm going to top it off with some sushi!

Oh, and a really dumb question (as i've never charted before) is today now my new CD1 or is it tomorrow since I got AF late in the day?!?!

Well that's what I thought, but the second I put I had light AF into FF and EB iPhone app both changed back to CD1.  Should I just remove the info so it changes tomorrow to CD1?

I had the exact same dilemma!  I got AF at about 10pm, so I optimistically counted that day as CD1 laugh.gif I will now make the next day CD2 grrr.

AFM: First BD for us without any form of contraception last night - ever!  I've been on the pill since before I first had sex, and it actually felt strange in my head, if that makes sense!  I'm such a dork, I lay still afterwards with my legs elevated slightly, even though its 6 days out from O time laughing2.gif

I see a few people are sick..I've caught a cold too from this stupid changing weather. Sydney's flash flooding didn't do any good for me yesterday either.

Katie and Future Bump - so exciting isnt it when you first have unprotected sex TTC!! and weird at the same time! Fingers crossed for you this cycle and dont worry Ive started doing the same thing with my legs in the air afterwards!!! really romantic!

Allie_D _ sorry to hear AF arrived - think I would class the day after as CD1 as it was so late in the day Enjoy your bubbles and cheese this weekend!!

AFM I am soo over this!! Please can you ladies help me here understand my stupid body!!! So after days of ovulation signs, cramping, heaps of EWCM, high CP, sore boobs etc I have woken up this morning to a huge temp drop (from 36.49 to 36.18) and I am on CD23 and OVER IT!!!

My DH and I have been BDing constantly for 15 days now and I dont want to have a break incase O is just round the corner but it could be days/weeks away yet!!!

I really thought after my 66 day cycle that this one would be shorter but who knows now! Had the BCP really screwed me up this much! Its been 3 months since I came off it and we havent even been able to start TTC!

And to top it off my OPKs were getting lighter the last few days but this morning it went dark again (probably a fraction lighter than the control line). But I feel heaps better, no sore boobs, hardly any CM as yet today and cramps have gone away

Anyone have any ideas???
