Hi there,

Thought I would introduce myself before relying to the EDD list thread.
I will add lots of info you know what I have experienced. Feel free to ask me if you want to know anything more about any of it... sharing experiences is much more informative than googling I find. I'm happy to share whatever if it helps someone. original.gif

I'm Heidi 35yrs, from the Gold Coast. I design houses and extensions (my biz from home), and my DH is halfway through his carpentry apprenticeship.
We have 2 daughters and 2 sons, this baby is #5...another boy.
We are originally from Sydney, moved here in 1999.

I thought I could get by without a forum for this pregnancy but DH is dragging his feet telling his family,  sad.gif soooo I am not allowed to put anything pg related on Facebook.... I neeeeeed a babytalk outlet...I scoured the internet and EB won...lol

I have had 4 c sections, the first was because my daughter turned to be breech after my water broke while I was in labour (YES it's possible), the second baby I failed to dilate past 6cm, no water birth for me  sad.gif  (she was tangled in the cord), the boys I had no choice but c sections.

I have an irritable uterus and tend to start strong practice contractions early...this time I have had them since 18 weeks. ohmy.gif

My last two pregnancies only lasted 35 weeks...both my boys couldn't wait. ohmy.gif
Baby #3 had 2 holes in his heart when born but this resolved itself within 6 months.
Baby #3 was in NICU 17 days and baby #4 had a 21 day stay. Both were lazy eaters and #4 also caught staph which delayed his home coming. sad.gif

I had PPD after #1 and supposedly after #4 but I disagree with the Dr on that one.

I went through infertility treatments for baby #2, 3 and 4, I still believe it's the medication for the PPD that caused my hormone imbalance...the meds I went on after #4 seemed to set my ovaries back into action though...odd.

I was diagnosed Hypothyroid after #2 was born....possibly also related to the PPD meds, don't know.

I had my tubes tied after #4, we had a change of heart 2 years later...tried IVF but none of our 5 embryo's implanted... I had a tubal reversal last December in Melbourne (hardest and first 4 days away from my family  sad.gif ) and took 10 cycles to fall pg.

Well that's me....I'm sure there is more I have forgotten...

I look forward to meeting you all.   original.gif

Hi Heidi,

You have had a journey so far. I bet you count each of your children as a blessing.

I'm at the other end of the scale to you. I foolishly had my tubes tied 3 years ago - at 29. Now at 32, I'm happily married and life is settled my life views have changed and I can think of nothing I want more than a baby with my Hubby.

We decided about 3 months ago, that we wanted to move forward with being 're-sexed' But so far we are relying on the public system. So far its only been a month since we requested a gyno appoint to fix the problem but still waiting.

I'd love to hear any details that you'd be happy to share about your reversal.
