Any of the other Deakin girls confused about STAR allocations? I have no idea what to do for HBS109 and HNN112!!!

Posted 07 February 2012 - 11:29 PM

I had my timetable all sorted with 4 preferences. Then I logged onto STAR this morning and saw them allocated in blocks. Scrapped my preferences and played around a little. I've figured out my timetable clashes with school pick-up/drop-offs/Kinder and Child care no matter how much I played around with it.

I've picked the best I could knowing that we'll be allocated with a clash free timetable.

Sorry, probably doesn't help much.

FWIW - I just put in my preferences from 1 - 10 for both.

#10 UpsyDaisy

Posted 10 February 2012 - 06:41 PM

I haven't ordered it yet. I'm waiting til were told we have to get it. Then I plan to look around to get the best price.

Just curious - I assume they vary a little as to what included in them? That's my concern, and why I'll leave it til I know more. I did look them up though, and would go with Purple biggrin.gif

I'm ordering this book:

Title: FUNDAMENTALS OF ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY (WITH MASTERING A&P + ATLAS OF THE HUMAN BODY + IP SUITE)
Item #: 9780321761033
Author: MARTINI ET AL
Publisher: PEARSON EDUCATION
Edition: 9

from here:

https://www.fishpond.com.au/product_info.ph...d=9780321761033

Heaps cheaper too.

Just thought I'd let you know. They only have 3 copies left, and I'm about to order 1, so that will make 2 copies left.

Posted 10 February 2012 - 10:51 PM

Haha I ordered mine from there a couple of days ago! Good find original.gif I can't seem to find fundamentals of nursing or contexts of nursing any cheaper so will get that at the bookshop when I go get my parking pass on Tuesday

Tomorrow is timetable day!! Feeling very nervous but excited original.gif alot of the classes I picked we're very very full! Fingers crossed

#14 UpsyDaisy

Posted 13 February 2012 - 08:37 PM

I didn't realise we got them tomorrow. My percentages were showing as zero when I picked them, so not sure what happened there LOL

I'm actually going in to register with the disability section (not sure the technical name for the department). One thing they offer is prioritized timetables. This will make my life SO much easier. Waiting on a call back so I can attend my appointment and fix my timetable - no matter what I did it just clashed in major ways all over the place LOL

Fingers crossed for you mrskb original.gif
