Hi BabyJaguar

These are my instructions on how to improve your forum experience when using iOS devices. original.gif

QUOTE
Go to My Controls (under your username on the left of the screen)

Under the Menu (second column on the left) look for the Options subheading and click on Board Settings.

In the Control Panel, look for this bit ...

"Type of text editor to use when posting"

If it is set to Rich Text Editor, change it to Standard Editor (or vice versa).

Hello there

I was hoping that the changes might happen to include the forum issues between EB & EK, but it seems i still have to read all the forums through EB when i want to read them on EK.

Is there anyting additional i have to do to read the forums on EK?

I just had some massive issues after the forum logged me out and I had to spend 30 mins and a whole lot of password resetting and what not to get back in! EB was happy with my password but Fairfax didn't like it and wouldn't let me in!

Please tell me this was a once off and I'm not going to have the same drama with my home computer  sad.gif

If you are on EK, and click on the forums does it direct you to EB ?  Has that been that way since before today ?

Once you have been through the process once you shouldn't have to go through the full one again, especially not resetting passwords. You may have to login in again though depending on your browser settings on your other computer.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and hope to fix any bugs currently being experienced ASAP.

Thank you for your patience.

Hello Therese, no, not quite, i cant remember if i was swapping PM's wi you about this a few months ago or someone else, when EK was introduced.  But this is what i thought would happen, and was told that they would go and try and fix it.
I thought that with EK, whether you received an email notification for either a new topic or reply that you could read that topic on the same forum via either EK or EB, have i got that part right?

As 99% of members of the forums are still posting on EB (as is their wish) when i receive thir email notification it takes me to EB, it doesnt matter if i am logged in or not i can still read it, but if i want to reply i have to either log into EB or physically go over to EK find in the list of topic in THAT forum THAT particular topic and reply.  A email posted via EB will not send me to EK read or reply automatically.  am i making sense? i am wondeirng if it is just me that has this problem

Thanks Therese i was hoping it might be an easy solution, it seems not, and as per usual in my life i want/need what is the exepction and not the norm.oh well back to EB while i wait for EK to catch up.

While there is an issue with email notifications, all topics can be viewed on EK just by browsing around the site.

Only a small percentage of our EK users subscribe to notifications but I understand it is very frustrating for those that do and it is still on our to-do list to fix it.

I confirmed my membership, everytime I log onto EB it says I'm not logged in and when I click on the "log in" button I get a blank screen.
However.... I can reply to threads so I'm not sure what is going on!

There are much more people logging in and out than usual as we move everyone over to the new system, so things may be a little unstable today. Thanks for your patience.  smile1.gif

Keep reporting the issues everyone!
