Earlier this year James, aged only 5 was diagnosed with liver cancer. After aggressive treatment it was thought the tumour was no more, however the cancer has reappeared only weeks after the completion of his treatment and has now been diagnosed terminal.
Gail shares her story from the diagnosis of her sons illness to now as their family prepares for the last months of her sons life.

i dont know what to say.. how can u console anyone who is going through something so terrible?
obviously u want to spend the best quality time u possibly can with ur little boy....
what can we as an eb community do to help u and ur family?
what last little things does ur little boy want to do?
come on eb... now is our time to help in whatever way this family needs...

My heart broke reading your story. I have a DD the same age and just cannot comprehend what you are going through.
My thoughts and prays are with you all and I hope James' ltime left is happy and pain free.

I am so sorry to hear your story - all the best to James and his family to make as many special memories as they can in his last days. Such a shocking loss to the family of a gorgeous boy, too early.

All I would like to say that if, by some miracle, there is a remission and you need to be in Sydney for a treatment/etc, you are welcome to stay with us.
Also, not sure if you know but here in Manly we have a wonderful place that helps families like yours - The Bear Cottage.

Gail I am so so sorry. My heart is truly breaking reading your story and I cannot begin to imagine how hard this is for you and your family. James is a gorgeous, brave little boy and I hope his last days are spent as pain free as possible.
