Thou shall be silent in the delivery suite. Don't talk unless you are spoken too. I am fine with you watching the tv in the suite but I do not need endless commentary on what happened.

To the anaesthetist please be a little more patient with the spinal block and threaten me with a General Anaesthetic just so you can go home and watch ABC Lateline. grrr

QUOTE (Rumply @ 02/09/2011, 03:25 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
No matter how funny you think it is, don't repeat to every person that walks in the delivery room or thereafter, "Watching your wife give birth is like watching your favourite pub burn down. It's fascinating, but in the back of your mind you're thinking, "ooooh, I used to go in thereā€¦"

I love this ...

"You're fat";
"Maybe this wasn't such a good idea"
"I don't want sex when you're so big"
"I hope it's not a girl"
"No oral sex while you're pregnant"
"Let's have another Magnum" (you need to help her eat healthy)

DO NOT laugh at her when she is crying cause none of her clothes fit...

And definitely do NOT laugh when she is crying because she cant eat anything...

oh and better yet DO NOT say "you must have a very low pain threshold" after having to be admitted to hospital because of said pain...

Maybe don't spend the last 2-3 weeks of the pregnancy asking "Is it GO TIME????" every time she grunts or groans.

Is it just me or are We getting more old threads bumped these days?

#136 matt1972

Posted 07 May 2012 - 10:29 PM

I bumped it because my wife is due in 6 days so I had something to contribute. No sinister motives at play.

When she is completely rationally annoyed with you over something you promised to do, and 'forgot', do not claim she is completely mad in the head with the pregnancy hormones so you understand why she is being so illogical..
